GPE-10 EVO 14-24" Floating Extension Pole for GoPro Cameras (Transparent)

I recently purchased a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition. After doing lots of research I decided this was the best GoPro pole to go with and I'm glad I did. I bought it for the simple fact that I wanted something to mount my GoPro on on recent trip to La Jolla, CA for snorkeling. It worked very well. The length of the pole + using your GoPro in the wide angle shooting mode makes for some insane videos or pictures. A very cool and handy feature of this pole is that it floats. This came in handy for me when I had to surface and adjust my mask. I simply took let go of the pole and it floated on the surface with no problems what so ever. Also the fact that this pole is clear helps it be less noticable in your videos. The built in wrist band is adjustable and gets you a very safe feeling when getting some crazy angles. The grip is soft and no slippery. Overall this pole is a little more expensive than some of the other poles but well worth your money.

This was the best thing ever to go along with our GoPro on vacation. We used it snorkeling, riding on wave runners and ATV's and we also set it up and leaned it against things while we used our remote to take pictures. I love that it is transparent and was barely noticeable in the pictures. It allowed me to get pictures closer up to fish and other creatures in the coral without having to get so close. I also used it to capture some great photos and videos of sharks and stingrays we swam with. It floats which is great as well. I also attached a foam floaty to the camera for extra protection, but this alone would probably have been fine. I was also amazed with how stable the videos were when we used it riding the ATV's. We were able to hold it above and out in front, to the side or behind us while riding the ATV's and wave runners and capture great videos without it being too noticeable. This is a must have for activities like this that you'll be filming with a go pro. The length is perfect also. It would be nice if it collapsed for packing purposes, but it doesn't. It still fit in our suitcase though.

The transparent EVO Pole is a must for GoPro owners. The very best footage you will get from your GoPro will include you, or somebody you care about, in most shots. I realize there are people who use GoPros more like normal cameras, shooting out at the world instead of including themselves or others in as many shots as possible, but take my word for it... you want yourself or the people you know in as many shots as possible. In a few years you won't care about your vacation, etc. if it doesn't show friends and family. That is why you need this pole. It's the best way to shoot yourself and the people next to you in one of the activities that you buy a GoPro for. Mitch Bergsma is a great resource for GoPro tips and information. I bought this pole based on his example and logic. The clear pole is the least intrusive to your shot, so it's a no-brainer. Why only 4-stars then? The end of my EVO pole isn't very precise. The end cap is held in place by what appears to be rivets, and the black end-cap has air-space around it. It looked like it was going to leak, but I took it out in the ocean and it didn't leak... so I was happy about that, but still... for the price of this pole I would have expected mine to be sorted out as B-stock and go in some kind of clearance sale where I'm guessing a lot of them may look like this. I would be amazed if they ALL look like this because if so, the owner of the company should be taking a closer look at the actual manufacturers or the process. There's no reason why a sized cap can't perfectly fit the end of a same-sized tube. The end grip is nicely textured, and the wrist lanyard is a necessary detail. That lanyard has prevented a dropped camera several times. So... aside from my personal complaint that the business end of my EVO looks cheaply assembled... I still say that if you have a GoPro, you HAVE to own an EVO (clear) pole. It's an essential part of getting the kind of footage that you'll value for the rest of your life.

Perfect! Just the right price, lightweight and durable. More durable than I thought at first. Floats as described. Love having a pole thats see through so it's less distracting in photos if you happen to have it in your pic (although its better to hold in an angle so you never see the pole, but we al now that isn't always possible. Length as a short or extended pole is perfect for Gopro wide shots. You really don't need (or want) it longer for 99.9% of your shots. It does get water droplets in it even when you tighten the twist lock but it will dry up if you leave the twist lock loose. I think this water gets in when you got from long extension to short on d the inner pole part goes in the outer extension.

This product is really poorly made. I bought it for my trip to Alaska and it broke almost immediately, as you can imagine replacing something like this in Alaska isn't very easy. I was drawn to this particular accessory because it's clear and shouldn't be too obvious in pictures. Being clear it's made of plastic, and being extendable the plastic is hollow to allow the poles to nest inside of each other. It's basically two poles that are connected, by tightening or loosening the end you can extend or shorten the stick. Almost immediately the screw became very difficult to control, it's just cheap plastic on cheap plastic. It broke shortly thereafter, the screw on part cracked. You could still mount the camera on the end and try to make it work but it didn't hold and the two poles would separate easily, making it impossible to trust. I wouldn't buy this product again, not well made and not worth the headache.

I was very excited to receive this product after purchasing a Hero4 Silver - I'm a bit disappointed even after reading the reviews at how fragile this item is. It's really the main reason I am knocking off 2 stars. I am relatively gentle with my items and somehow this product managed to crack around the plastic screw piece with normal use. Mind you I have not even taken it on a snowboarding trip or have done anything extreme. I've taken it swimming a few times. I'd like to point out that you can really only have two lengths: fully extended or fully retracted. There is no in between. What I do like about this product: it is clear and therefore is not as much of a distraction if the stick ends up in your shot. It floats and has a nice neon butt that is easy to spot. As long as you are not adjusting the length of the pole in the water, it does a good job of keeping water out. I also like the functionality of the Smart Remote clip on piece that comes with the pole - one of the main reasons I opted for this pole compared to others. If you're OCD about your products like I am, you may not like the fact that the clip on leaves a lot of scratches on the pole. I really like the idea of what the product is trying to accomplish, but I feel as though the product could have been built with much more durability for the price GoPole is charging.

Although I didn't purchase this product on Amazon, I did discover it here and used the reviews to make my decision. The first pole I purchased wasn't so great- it leaked and sank! I contacted the company as soon as I returned from my trip to let them know about it. They were quick, responsive, and apologetic. The pole comes with a lifetime warranty, and I was happy to see that were willing to take care of me so quickly. The pole DOES NOT have a Bluetooth button, but it does have a spot for the smart remote. I didn't find this to be an issue, because for the most part I used it underwater and either had my camera on video or time lapse. When not in the water, I was able to use the app to control the camera. This pole is great for all weather. I've used it snorkeling in Hawaii and sledding during Jonas! I couldn't imagine using my camera without it!

I've used it for 2 days of scuba diving (6 dives @ 20-30m) + a full day of snorkeling and it still looks new. It floats in the water so it felt safe when passing the GoPro to someone else in and out of the water. With the GoPole, I got some footage that would otherwise be impossible before. For example, I was able to hold it behind me and got my partner and me in a video watching a manta ray gliding by. I also held it in front of us to capture us snorkeling together through schools of jellyfish in the Jellyfish Lake. The GoPole is a great way to get closeup shots of sea life without scaring them away. I was almost able to get the GoPro to touch some schools of fish. I also had a lot of fun experimenting with different angles out of the water, like walking with the GoPro close to the ground to get a feel of what your dog sees. Simply my favorite GoPro accessory!

Ottimo se non si vuole perdere la propria action cam in acqua. Dò 5 stelle ma ci sarebbe un accorgimento da "sistemare": Il meccanismo per l' estensione del pole risulta estremamente fragile.

What a brilliant little gadget! I bought a black edition gopro before my diving trip to the Maldives. I did a bit of research beforehand to decide on the millions of accessories out there. I narrowed down to a pole for it’s mobility for making videos – this did that. I chose the Evo because of it’s clear body, and it definitely has made a huge difference in my videos. To have it clear means less obstruction/ distractions in the video, and the clear pole just disappears under water! The length is super good as it’s just long enough to make a good POV selfie shots, but not too long so it becomes awkward to carry. Yes, I did think it was a bit long for not being compactible, but now I think it’s a good length. With the length, you can take some very close shots of fish and coral that otherwise would not be as easy to reach/ get close to. Very satisfied with the product. It looks super sturdy and I will definitely get my money’s worth of uses from this!

Positive things first.. It looks flimsy, but it proved strong enough for diving and biking. it is good for diving. Because in diving, there is no chance of getting it stressed. It is a telescopic pole and has two parts. But it does not get flooded inside water if it is not adjusted within the water. You just have to pull it to your desired length and lock it before diving. The air inside the pole gives it slightly positive buoyancy as the other reviewers stated. It wont be positively buoyant if you attach battery or lcd backpack to your hero or use the qudos light with a bracket. I like the rubber hand grip of the pole. Now the negatives .. The thumb screw and the nut provided with it is of very poor quality. I got my piece with a problem in the thread. I have not returned it because I have spare thumbscrew to use with it and I thought the replacements may also have the same problem. The lanyard below the pole is attached to a metallic ring, which is attached to the pole with a screw. If you hold the pole in strong wind. The lanyard catches wind and the metallic ring makes clicking sound. The noise travels through the pole directly to the microphone of the hero camera and spoils the video. However the metallic ring can be removed by removing the screw along with the ring and lanyard.
