Review: Excellent product - This has saved my sanity. I recently added a 7 yr old cat to our household. He was free fed and 5 lbs overweight by his previous owner. Trying to cut down his amount of food and listening to him meow for an hour before feeding time was making both of us crabby and nuts. I got this and after finally converting the amount of food the vet said to feed him into 1/12th cups, I set up a feeding schedule for the cat to get a small amount of food 5 times a day in addition to his 3x's a day wet food. The cat is happy because he gets to eat throughout the day without over eating. He has even settled down enough to not feel like he has to eat it all immediately and is leaving a little in the bowl. I'm thrilled because I don't have to feed him 8 times a day and he isn't meowing constantly. The set up was fairly easy - once you figure out how to get past the "care app offer". It's easy to adjust the time and amount the feeder dispenses as the cat settles in. The instructions say for best results to be within 20 feet of wifi without walls in the path. I have two machines (the cats don't share well) and one is on the second floor. It set up and works perfectly fine despite being much farther away from the wifi. These are perfect for cats who are very food related and eat everything as soon as you serve it. I am slowly getting my timid kitty used to the machine. For him, I let the machine sit a foot away from his bowl, not set up, for a few days. Then, I set it up to dispense food when he was near but not too close so hecouldcheck it out. The 3rd step was to move his bowl next to the feeder but let him eat out of his original bowl. 4th step was to let him see me take food from the dispenser bowl to his normal bowl leaving some dry in the feeder bowl. After a few days, he started eating out of the feeder bowl and is no longer afraid of it.
Review: Work well for the most part - I have five cats and five feeders. I thought that was strange so I started trying to figure out why and noticed the app was not working at all. I made the mistake of un binding one feeder so I could reconnect it to the app to see if I could get it to go back online and that is how I knew the app was down. I could not get the feeder set back up in the app or any of them to reconnect to the Wifi. The feeders will still feed even though they lose Wi-Fi connection, but you just can’t tell in the app, which would be kind of scary if I weren’t home. I woke up this morning and the app was working again and the feeders were connected again, and I was able to pair the one that I unbinded, but still, if I were away, I would not have known for sure if my cats were being fed. Other than that, the feeders work fine and really help with scheduled feedings.

**Q: Will this work if the Wi-Fi gets disconnected?**
A: Yes, if you have configured the scheduled, the feeder saves this configuration and itnwill work even if it's not connected to the Internet. I've noticed that when the feeder is not connected, the 'log' that shows the history of the feeder actions doesn't get updated.

**Q: Is this compatible with WiFi 6?**
A: A Wifi 6 router will still provide support for a 5Ghz band. This device will be compatible. This device actually supports 5Ghz and 2.5Ghz, honestly it probably doesn't even need to operate on the 5Ghz band since it doesn't utilize the speed and the range is better served on the 2.5Ghz band. A Wifi 6 router will support all of these bands and transfer at the fastest speed given the distance you have it from your router, assuming you don't split your SSIDs. If you do split them, then just make sure this goes on 5Ghz or 2.5Ghz, I would recommend 2.5Ghz.

**Q: Are there push notifications on phone for feeding, not just empty or jammed device? Without "regular feed" push notify, it's a no-deal for us...**
A: Trying to answer if I can. It shows when it’s feeding; and also if jammed or empty. But I don’t think it’s a normal “notification” like jammed/empty. I usually do the manual feed though… it keeps a log as well, so you can see each food “delivery”. It’s great in my opinion!
