It is potassium based no salty taste but not meant for seasoning or flavoring (baking)

This fits the bill for my husband
My husband says he can't tell the difference between this and "real" salt! He is supposed to watch his sodium intake, yet he is heavy with the shaker. This offered a solution tgat he is quite happy with We have it on subscribe and save.

Good substitute
Tried it today on my eggs. The salt taste is there and acceptable. Down sides IMHO are the high potassium (not me personally) and the insane cost. Must have powdered gold in it😀.

Disgusting
I bought this becaus e my husband had a heart surgery recently and the doctors said he needed to have meals with lite salt or preferably no salt so I saw this at Amazon and gave it a try. I thought it el was going to have no flavor, but it didn’t. It had a very strong ugly flavor that I didn’t like, so I wasn’t going to give it to my husband. He already passed through a very difficult situation with the surgery and I wasn’t going to give him an ugly flavor in his meals. So I just don’t use it. I kept it for emergencies or give it away to someone that could and would like to have it.

Intense both in price and flavor
After developing high blood pressure, I did what most do - look for a salt substitutes. While I'm sure that the flavor of this product is what it is - I was not prepared for the intensity. I put just a few grains on my finger to taste prior to adding to a recipe, and it was like salt times 1,000. I have no idea how I would use this in cooking - and I cook A LOT! For the price I paid, I was expecting a full container, and was shocked to see the mini version - at just over $9. Had I loved the product I'd be really unhappy that I'd have to add this to a weekly grocery list, but since I really hate it - it's just now a $9 mistake. Better to experiment for new flavors with basil, onions, tyme, sage, curry, chipotle seeds...

Great salt alternative!
So grateful that this is available here! For those on a sodium restricted diet, this still provides a close enough taste of salt to food.

Tastes like regular salt
I bought this for a friend who has Meniere's disease and can consume very little sodium. Too much causes vertigo and tinnitus. Her food is very bland, but this salt substitute is a blessing. She's able to enjoy her meals now.
