Review: Great for Python fundamentals—Does the trick - This was a good buy. I wanted to learn the fundamentals of Python, and this book did exactly that. Even though it's marketed as a guide for kids, the way it breaks down coding logic and project development in Python is very clear and effective. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense way to get a handle on the basics. Highly recommended if you want to learn the core principles without the typical technical bloat. Review: This is the one - I saw another “Coding for kids - Python” book that had more number of reviews than this one. After comparing the descriptions of both, decided to go with this one because it seemed to have a more “hands on” approach than the other one, and I’m so glad I did. My 9yo absolutely loves it! I only gave him a few pointers and he’s flying through the book really enjoying (and learning) as he builds games and graphics. He’s had literally hundreds of all types of books and he said this one is his favorite. I appreciate that the book shows flow charts. Learning a computer language doesn’t make you a programmer or doesn’t mean you’re learning how to write good code, but I feel this book introduces good practices towards that goal.
