One of the Best Supportive Moisturizers I’ve Used - A Quiet Hero
At 52, post-menopausal, with dry mature skin and ongoing discoloration concerns, I’ve learned there’s a difference between products that actively treat skin and products that support skin. Sometimes the products that quietly make your skin look consistently healthier end up becoming the ones you reach for over and over. This falls squarely into that category for me. I actually started with a small sample of this cream and after only about three uses, I bought the full-size jar. That almost never happens for me. I have hundreds of skincare products at home and very few make me stop and immediately think: okay…I need the full size. This did. The first thing I noticed was the texture. Despite being called a hydrating cream, this does not feel like a typical heavy moisturizer. It almost has a soft balm-meets-cream feel that melts as it touches skin. It spreads easily, sinks in beautifully—okay, not beautifully…effortlessly—and leaves skin feeling deeply cushioned without feeling greasy, waxy, or heavy. For mature skin, that balance is hard to find. The ingredient list is also classic BIOEFFECT in that it stays surprisingly simple. You have: • Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) for hydration and water retention • Vitamin E (Tocopherol) for antioxidant support • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride for moisture and barrier support • Barley Seed Extract + BIOEFFECT’s EGF technology BIOEFFECT’s claim to fame has always been their barley-grown EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) technology. For years they’ve built their brand around this, and while I personally don’t view topical EGF as some overnight age-reversal ingredient, I do think products like this can contribute to healthier-looking skin over time as part of a broader routine. And that is where expectations matter. This is not a dramatic anti-aging cream. This is not going to erase deep wrinkles. This is not replacing procedures. And this is not one of those products where you wake up looking ten years younger. What it does do is support skin exceptionally well. Within a few uses my skin simply looked healthier. More comfortable. More hydrated. Softer. There was a noticeable difference in how my skin felt throughout the day. Less tightness. Less dryness. More bounce. And honestly, that matters. Supportive skincare often gets overlooked because it isn’t flashy. But if your skin barrier is happy, hydrated, and functioning well, everything tends to look better. Another thing I appreciate is that this is fragrance-free and has a relatively streamlined ingredient list. For mature skin that can sometimes become more reactive or unpredictable, I tend to appreciate formulas that don’t feel overloaded. Who is this best for? Dry skin, mature skin, dehydrated skin, barrier support, or anyone wanting a moisturizer that feels substantial without becoming heavy. Who may not love it? Someone expecting dramatic anti-aging correction or wanting a treatment cream packed with aggressive actives. Overall, this became a surprise favorite for me. I bought the full size after three uses and that alone says a lot. It is not a miracle cream and it is not trying to be one. But as a supportive moisturizer? This is genuinely one of the better products I’ve used in a very long time. Sometimes the products that quietly make your skin look healthier end up being the real winners. This was one of those for me.

Bioeffect is actually worth the $$$
This is not the cheapest cream on the market but it does have a no frills, low irritant potential, fragrance and essential oil free formulation that also includes a really solid amount of EGF. The ingredients list is short and sweet and very function forward. I love that it's oil free but still very moisturizing. I have congestion prone, dry leaning skin so this is perfect for me. I have tried other bioeffect products and my favorites are the serums since they are even more minimal but very potent. This is lightweight but don't be tricked and use too much!! You only need a little and it layers well with other skincare/makeup. There are very few solid egf products out there that don't have the egf buried underneath a "kitchen sink" formula. I think bioeffect puts out quality products that aren't just marketing hype. If it's within your budget, I recommend giving it a try!

Creamy and luxurious and definitely hydrating.
This cream is REALLY hydrating. I am 58, and I find that my skin gets drier each year, especially in the winter months. The problem is that I don’t like the feeling of lotion on my skin, so I am really bad at using lotions regularly. I also react very poorly to fragrances and scents, so a highly perfumed lotion is right out for me. This one is VERY nice. It is presented nicely in a substantial and luxe-looking jar. It has virtually NO scent, which is a great thing for me. It is rich and creamy, and it feels great going on the skin. For my taste, it is a tiny bit heavy feeling. It’s not greasy, but I can definitely tell that there is something on my skin, at least right after applying it. The feeling did go away after about half an hour, maybe because it absorbed all the way in? But I think that I am much more likely to use this as a night cream before bed rather than first thing in the morning, as that heavy feeling is not to my taste, especially in the morning, after I get out of a shower, when my skin feels more sensitive and, with my sensory issues, I am more likely to react negatively to that heavy feeling in that slightly overheated from the shower moment. At night before bed, on the other hand, it is likely to bother me less. And my skin does feel softer and more hydrated, so I would definitely like to continue to enjoy the benefits from this product. If you don’t mind a creamier product, this would likely be perfect for day use. I definitely would recommend it. It feels like a luxurious at-home spa treatment for your face.

Easy to use & works great!
The Bioeffect Hydrating Cream Moisturizer is easy to use, and it works great. It's lightweight, fragrance-free, and oil free. It absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave any kind of residue behind. This cream is super hydrating/moisturizing which plumps, and brightens, my skin. It works quickly too - I started seeing results after only one day. My skin looks, and feels, healthier. Overall, I think it's very well made with high quality ingredients - expensive, but worth the price. I highly recommend it!

One of the luxury skincare brands that are worth it
I love most of bio effects skincare that I’ve used. It’s one that I do think is worth the higher price tag. This face cream is so hydrating, it melts into your skin and really absorbs nicely. It leaves my skin feeling softer and more hydrated all day. No harsh ingredients and no irritation from it. You can find cheaper alternatives but if you have the budget for this then it’s worth it.

EGF is the GOAT
I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers over the years, and I’m genuinely impressed with this one. I went in hopeful but cautious, since only a few moisturizers have truly wowed me (though plenty have been good). The formula focuses on clean skincare and only has 16 ingredients, which I appreciate as someone with sensitive/reactive skin. It’s free from common irritants, including fragrance, alcohol, gluten, and parabens. Despite how hydrating it is, the cream has a surprisingly light texture. It does look deceptively thick. It can feel a bit greasy if you apply too much, and it may be too rich for oilier or acne-prone skin. A small amount easily covers my face, neck, and décolletage, which helps it last longer and gives me more bang for my buck. This is my first time using a product with EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor). It’s derived from barley rather than human stem cells, which may matter to some. While I didn’t expect much beyond hydration, I was hopeful and curious. I’ve been using this at night with a lighter moisturizer during the day, though as the weather gets colder, I may switch to using it both day and night. I’ve already noticed visible improvement in fine lines around my eyes and smile line. My skin looks and feels softer and plumper, and the moisture lasts through the next morning. Compared to my usual moisturizer, this delivered faster results, has no fragrance and a much shorter ingredient list. I had no issues layering it over serums or under sunscreen, and while I don’t wear foundation, it seems like it would perform well under makeup once it's fully absorbed. Overall, I’m very impressed. Whether it’s the EGF doing the heavy lifting or just a great moisturizer, I’m happy with the results and would love to try more products with it as an ingredient!
