Autel S2

This is one of several Autel scanners I own for both personal and professional use, and I have to say, it doesn’t disappoint. I needed a comprehensive yet easy to use scan tool to maintain our diverse fleet of commercial HD delivery trucks and semis. Like all Autel tablet style scanners, it is easy to use, and durable enough to handle the rigors of being passed around a truck yard from one vehicle to another. The special functions to force and reset regens, adjust speed limitations, clear service / maintenance reminders, and read and clear DTC’s is truly invaluable. No more second guessing what is wrong with our trucks, and we are now able to tackle 75% of the repairs we would have normally sent out. The included battery tester and multimeter is also a huge plus, and it all comes in a nice and sturdy storage case. For us, the unit has literally paid for itself with less than a handful of uses. Sure there are cheaper scan tool alternatives, but after checking out the competition, it’s clear to see they are not as comprehensive and powerful as the MS909CV. Whether your working on just one or multiple trucks, having a scan tool of this caliber is nothing less than blessing!

will only communicate with a limited and select few engines, will not do after treatment regenerations, turbo actuators, ecm coding or injector cutout tests, mid 2018 kenworth and peterbilt with cummins engines, when you do have a engine that the tool will do the advertised testing it is nice, will not connect with 2023 mack engines, 2015 kw or pete with cummins, early 2018 kw or pete with cummins, here is how the support goes, you call wait 30 or more mins for them to have you plug the vci into the truck and then they open the window and send a screenshot to themself, assure you they will call back in two days, which never happens, the software as released is not worth buying, the update screen want you to renew your subscription for 1495.00 even tho you have a year left. even tho it will not do any of the advertised test it will decode and read the vin number and with a cummins you can read and clear the codes you just cant do anything else with any of the ecus with a mack engine will say not supported. after hooking up to 25 trucks in our fleet have only had 3 successful communications with engine ecms. my opinion is just buy a laptop and nexiq and the software you need for your trucks, its a 5000.00 tablet to watch youtube not much of tool and i will be returning mine if possible which is doubtful at this point they have strung me along past the return date, my tool was activated on 11-21-23 and today is 12-26-23

Have been using a Snap-on Prolink ultra for years. I like the autel MS909CV so much better. The wireless is one of my most appreciated features. It also has more capabilities then my previous scanner. Great product!

I have a launch X431v pro for cars and I am not extremely happy with it, so when I started looking for a Bi-Directional HD scan tool I kept coming to the Autel, it was the only one under 10k that covered everything I needed. Very happy with it so far.

Does everything the tech asked for and more, company was very responsive.

Definitely worth buying as it fills the gap we had in our Company.

Very cost effective and my mechanics are thrilled.
