This thing is fantastic! I have sharpened many pocket knives and one large fixed blade, I even used it to sharpen a windlass cobra stel wakazashi short sword! I have had other simular style knife sharpeners some double the price that arent as good as this one. Not only has this one done a better job of sharpening but it seems to be much more durable and lasting much longer. Im going to buy more of these and put one with each of my large survival type knives and machetes. I havent tested the fire steel but who cares, Im sure it will work and its just a bonus anyways, its the sharpener thats impressive ad makes this well worth the $9 I highly sugest getting one and seeing for your self, I bet after using it you buy a few more. This would make a great stocking stuffer for any knife lover. It even sharpened a knife I have that is cheap steel and refuses to take an edge from other simular sharpeners. Just get one, you wont be let down.

It works for what it is. It is a very simple knife sharpener and I had it work best on knives that were not the hardest grades of steel. It does sharpen softer knives. It does get rid of small burrs in knives. It helps keep them sharp if you have a knife you use on a daily basis like I do. I would not put my very best blades through here. The cons - I am a woman and it feels small in my hand to hold steady on a stable surface, keep my fingers back, and then slide a knife blade through each section of the sharpener. It's not very big and for a man with larger hands this would be fairly small, but could be a good emergency piece to keep in the car/truck. The extra do-dads and such get in the way and I would rather not. . . . . .The fire starter piece that is in the back doesn't stay in and is so incredibly loose I have to ignore it falling out when I sharpen a knife. It falls half way out all of the time regardless of it being pushed in or not, it doesn't stay. Some of these extra 6 in 1 make the simple aspects hard to work properly because the cheaper things that are added onto this get in the way of the function of the item.

We purchased a couple of these, sharing them with a few relatives who are intense hikers. We also purchased for ourselves and our survival kit. We live on the oceanfront and put in our Tsunami bug out kit. It has the all important sharpener aspect, but also a fire starter. A whistle, etc. Husband reports that the sharpener works very well on his pocket knife collection. Win/win. We probably all need one of these! Small, compact and easy to carry or put into a kit. Excellent tool, this sharpening device is very useful for keeping your blades tip top razors with answers for any kind of blade. It even has a rod to get your serrated blades sharp as you would like them. Add to that a signal whistle and a fire starter that gives you a fantastic deal for about 10 Bucks and it doesn’t get any better than that. I will definitely carry this tool out to the field so I will always be Semper Paratus for keeping my bladed tools Ready for Action.

The performance of this is WONDERFUL! And the value for this is just great. It’s also easy to use and save! It helps save lots of storage too, which i LOVE

Works surprisingly well. I use it to sharpen pocket knives (folding and fixed blades) and it works very well. Sharpens very quickly and holds and edge well. Hopefully it lasts a while too

Molto ben fatto, funzionale, leggero e comodo. L'ho usato per affilare coltelli, per affilare la falce ed altri strumenti da lavoro. E' economico, leggero e ben fatto, ha tutto quello che serve per affilare e tenere in funzione strumenti anche pesanti. L'affilacoltelli Victorinox fa esattamente la stessa cosa di questo: mangiando un po' di lama rifà il filo. Non lo userei quindi su costosi coltelli forgiati ma lo uso su tutti i coltelli stampati che ho, soprattutto quelli da esterno! Prova del taglio carta superato anche dal falcetto! Insomma, affila bene, costa il giusto ed è pratico, un must per me!

Gostei da qualidade e funcionalidades

Este afilador funciona mejor que otros que he probado Me gusta el tamaño, no muy grande para llevar, no muy chico para manipular. Los resultados del afilador son bastante aceptables. Hay que usarlo como indican las instrucciones y resulta bueno el filo en las navajas y cuchillos que he afilado. El proceso es rápido y quedan los filos muy bien. Son mejores las piedras de afilar de diamante pero por el costo este es muy acceptable. Tiene una pieza para hace chispas y encender fogatas. No es algo que yo use en lo personal pero me parece divertido. Son más eficientes los encendedores de gas o los cerillos. Tiene tambien una herramienta para afilar cuchillas con hendiduras, esto no lo he probado así que no opino. También tiene un afilador para anzuelos de pesca. Tampoco soy un pescador así que no tengo anzuelos para afilar. Por último tiene integrado un pequeño silbato que emite un chillido en un tono alto. Tampoco le veo mucho caso pero allí está. Otro articulo que es práctico y útil que ponen a la venta dentro de los gadgets en amazon

Je viens de recevoir mon second sharpal, après des années de pierre japonaise etc .... j'ai voulus testé une méthode différente et surtout moins casse co**** que les pierres à aiguisé . Je fais beaucoup de randonnée et je vais entamé bientôt des road trip en italie, allemagne etc et que dire mise a part que ce produit et juste idéal ! - Ultra léger 6 en 1 - Sifflet de survie - fireSteel de secours et L'aiguisage qui pour l'instant est parfait je l'ai pas encore testé sur mes couteau Joker de bushcraft, Joker Nomad et Joker Avispa je ferais une update je pense quand ils auront perdue de leur tranchant pour l'instant aucun aiguisage nécessaire . Bref j'ai aiguisé mon opinel de survie et mes opinel de maison et franchement bravo !!! Je préparer de la viande pour mon déshydrateur, impossible de faire de fine tranche, après 10 passage sur le sharpal pour testé, j'ai réussi à faire des tranches d'une épaisseur de 2-5 mm facilement, En regardant la lame au soleil on aperçoit parfaitement l'aiguisage qui est top . Bref pour la rando/bushcraft etc foncé
