Works great & relatively affordable.
Works well. It replaced an identical remote that worked for about 8 years. Of course you'll probably need to pair with your fireplace. I was due for cleaning & service. The tech paired the remote (no extra charge) since he was already here. Originally I was told a new remote would be $hundreds. Obviously this was not true!

Identical remote and easy to pair
My fireplace remote got corroded beyond repair. Don't leave batteries in remotes kids! I learned the hard way. But at least this remote came to the rescue. It looks identical (except the brand name on front in the original) and it was very easy to pair with my fireplace. All functions seems to work as expected.

Great replacement
Outstanding replacement. The remote that came with our unit broke. It was a floor model, so that wasn’t a surprise. This unit is durable and was very easy to pair with the fireplace.

Pairing easier with two people
Nothing to dislike. Better than original. Pairing hint for us old folks. Have your mate hold the remote and push the red button once when you get a double blink on the remote sensor. Must do within 10 sec of the double light. Easy to do with 2 people. remember to remove the batteries from both the sensor and remote at the end of the season. That will avoid most problems. Install fresh batteries in the next season and pair them.

Returned
This was not compatable with the Heart and Home box in the fireplace, so I sent it back. The local installer said the remote and box come preprogramed to be paired to each other. So I had to have a new receiver box and controller for the gas fireplace.

Price and quality
Works as it should, easy to program. Local fireplace store wanted $260 for the same one, made by the same company. (HHT)
