I use it weekly and have never had a problem with the temperature it is preset for. Burgers, grilled cheese, chicken, etc. **Q: How can I purchase another control panel cord for this grill? I had it for six months and love it! The kids did something with the cord...** A: I would contact the seller, give them the model/serial number and tell them you need a replacement heating element. Also tell them you've only had it 6 months and maybe they'll replace for free or at least a discount. **Q: If you don't have a dishwasher, are you OK to just wash the grill plates? Or is it safe to soak everything in a regular kitchen sink to wash it?** A: Its ok to just wash the grill plates and yes its ok soak in kitchen sink but not the electrical unit. That should never be soaked in water or under water faucet. **Q: This question was asked before but never answered: What is the difference between the bronze and grey grill plates?** A: My answer was entered, but apparently deleted afterwards. Heating device is not washable but top and bottom plates can be submerged in water. Even dishwasher safe. I wash by hand. Make sure everything is dry when you reconnect the heating device. Food cooks fast and tastes good. Feel like I'm eating at a restaurant. Durable material. Non-stick surface. Make sure not to use Pam or any other non-stick sprays it will mess up the coating. I made that mistake with my first George Foreman grill. For the price it's a good deal. Does not take up that much counter space.
