The epic action of this sci-fi thriller unfolds in a near future inwhich an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day ofcombat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicidemission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicablythrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combatover and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries withincreasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski(Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, eachrepeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy. Review: Stuck on repeat! - One of my favorite time-loop movies, and if I'm being honest, one of my favorite films in general. The concept is so tight and well-executed that it never feels repetitive, just sharper and more intense each time the day resets. Tom Cruise is crazy, but as usual turns in a great performance going from completely out of his depth to battle-hardened in a way that actually feels earned. It’s smart, funny, emotional when it needs to be, and packed with incredible action. I can rewatch it anytime and never get tired of it. Review: Fantastic movie, Flawless 4K execution - I’ve been counting down the days until my pre-ordered Edge of Tomorrow 4K disc arrived. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t an earlier 4K release, but I literally fist-pumped when I saw the pre-order announced. I’ve been replacing my standard Blu-Ray collection with 4K discs as they become available. Some are absolutely fantastic, some are barely acceptable. I’m probably up to around 100 4K discs now, but I don’t think I’ve wanted to see another 4K release this much. Here’s why: I’m a little surprised that Edge of Tomorrow wasn’t a bigger hit. It’s a nearly perfect sci-fi film with everything going for it. It’s funny, action-packed, great cast, and good writing with a great storyline. It’s even got romance if that wasn’t enough. Blunt and Cruise have great chemistry and they match each other’s energy level perfectly. It’s hard for Tom Cruise to be upstaged in a film, but Emily Blunt manages to pull it off. If you didn’t know better, you would swear she was the bigger star just by her presence on the screen. Sadly this is the time we see Bill Paxton in a major movie, but he absolutely nails his performance. The amazing thing about him is that he never outwardly tries to be funny in this role; he just is. The ensemble cast is better than your average sci-fi film and everything just works. The 4K presentation is very good. It’s not quite a reference disc like Dune or the Revenant, but that’s due more to the source material. There just aren’t many bright colors to take full advantage of the UHD format. Fortunately the black levels look fantastic, which is good because there are a lot of them. I’m very happy that I switched over to an OLED TV to take full advantage of a film like this. The resolution is great, with only the slightest hint of grain in a few shots. The resolution is so good that I even noticed the limits of the CGI in one scene that I hadn’t noticed before. The audio is fantastic. Vocals come through clearly with a very immersive sound experience. There are definitely other films out there with more active surround effects, but they often seem contrived. This audio experience feels very natural. One of my favorite effects is Cage running around a dune circling the mimic. It’s spectacular. This is one of my top five favorite sci-fi movies of all time and I’m happier than ever to have it on 4K. If you already have the Blu-Ray and a good 4K upscaling player, you may not notice that much of an improvement, but it is there. I’ve noticed a few split-second flaws here or there in many 4K releases, but I didn’t pick up on a single one in Edge of Tomorrow. If you love the movie, you owe it to yourself to get the best version out there and this is absolutely it.

Very entertaining - Well done!
Highly entertaining thriller sci-fi. I thought “hm, mm-kay” after reading the plot, but the Groundhog Day style plot was really well done. They keep it interesting. Also Tom Cruise is just an awesome action star — I knew the this movie would be great because he’s in it!

Amazing
Phenomenal. It starts off like a standard fare generic sci fi doomsday B movie, and I was initially bored and disappointed, but once Cage gets infected with the alien blood the movie becomes a totally engaging and exciting thriller that had me on thr edge of my seat. Very enjoyable romantic twist as well. 10/10 and I will definitely watch this again.

Don't worry, this will never happen.
Action packed from beginning to end. If you like human military going against impossible odds then you'll love this. Now, I have a message for you of extreme importance. Warfare is an illness, a mass illness, like a virus that is making us sick. It's brought on by greed, ignorance, fear, bigotry and hate. If we as a species don't cure this illness and put an end to this behavior, we will not survive. Every movie that shows beings with interstellar traveling capabilities that are violent and warlike is wrong. It is not possible for an organism to develop interstellar travel without learning to abandon competition and living a life of cooperation with all living beings. Without empathy and compassion for all life, we will destroy this planet and ourselves with it. This is a fundamental law of the Universe. No organism can develop technology without empathy and survive. It's a failsafe to keep dangerous organisms such as humans from infecting the entire galaxy. Capitalism, unending linear growth is impossible on a finite sphere. Now go and vote accordingly. Write letters, protest and engage in civil non violent direct actions. Join an organization and volunteer for Mother Earth.

I recieved the steelbook UK version of this move which only has BR and 4K disc. This is not the US version that I was expecting which comes with the Digital Copy as well. The back cover didn't indicate Movies Anywhere nor does the front cover indicate "digital".
