I have a desk that is all solid wood that I made myself so I used one of the legs as a mounting point for this as they are thick 4x4's. I used 2 black screws that I had so It would all appear black because the 2 screws it comes with are silver (not sure why they would include silver screws when the mount is black). I have never used this mount or anything from this brand before this purchase but would highly recommend it as it was only a few more dollars than most of the other mounts similar to this and all steel and USA made.
