J.O. No. 1 Brand Seafood Seasoning - Known as No. 1 because it was the first and is rated No. 1 by customers. Seafood seasoning at its FINEST. Just the correct blend of herbs and spices to enhance the flavors of fish, shrimp, meats, poultry, popcorn, French fries - anything you want to spice up. This blend used by itself brings out the flavor in many white fishes, especially orange roughy and flounder, without disturbing the delicate flavor of the fish. A favorite seasoning for steamed or boiled shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, lobster, etc. Review: Great product - Great flavor. Just enough salt and heat. I tasted celery seed and cayenne in this blend. Much better than Old Bay. Review: Very Good Seasoning for Seafood! - I put this on thawed Swai from Wal-Mart, along with some butter, and bake at 225 degrees for 30 minutes! Delicious! One thing to note, though, the first ingredient listed on the bottle is 'salt' and they are not kidding! There is no need to add any extra salt when using this seasoning; if you do, your dish is going to be too salty... I found out the hard way!

Seafood Buff? This is "That Spice"
32 years of being alive and living on the east coast I always knew about "crab spice" every single crab shack or seafood joint would have. Somewhat like Old Bay, but not quite. Saltier, less pepper, etc. THE spice for seafood boils, steaming, shellfish, and so on. Especially if you lived anywhere near Baltimore (not surprisingly...where this spice comes from). This is that spice. I about lost my mind when I first tasted it totally by coincidence at a friend's place. I think it took me 60s at most to find and order it ๐คฃ

Addicted to this seasoning...for almost everything!
It all started when I went to seafood restaurant that used this seasoning for their crabs. Some of my favorites to use J.O. - potatoes, green veggies, eggs and all kinds of seafood. It has a tiny bit of heat. I find this more appealing than Old Bay. So many restaurants in Maryland (home of crabs) that use this...they aren't wrong!

JO #1 for seafood.
This is THE original seafood seasoning. Old Bay is a poor copy IMHO. Add flake salt to turn this in to JO #2 for Chesapeake Bay style crabs!
