And they securely seal even after washing in dishwasher on top rack time after time...The 1st set lasted 2 years!! Highly recommend!!! **Q: if you heat a dish that contains spaghetti sauce will it discoler the continer and cause pitting from the acid?** A: No. I have microwaved all sorts of foods and sauces in these containers and never had a stain or other issue with the container or the lid. This includes pasta sauce, fully loaded baked potato, steak, chicken wings and on and on. Seriously, these are tough containers which have gone through the dishwasher multiple times. Never have had a deformity in the container or a spill and they always snap tight. **Q: my lids are not securing to the container. What am i doing wrong.
