I recently purchased the boxtech Aquarium Air Pump, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The pump is exceptionally quiet, which is a significant advantage, as it doesn't disturb the peaceful ambiance of my aquarium. I have 4 aquariums; I have been a tropical fish keeper for most of my life. I like this air pump so much; many claim to be quiet, but this one truly is silent and also powerful. I have 2 of these currently. If I need another, i will surely purchase this one again. I love the white color as well. Thank you for a superior product!

I purchased this to deal with a "dead zone" in my 20L tank. This unit is super quiet, strong and the kit is worthwhile. I like that I was able to control the amount of pressure. All the tubing and the air stone work great. The tank is now crystal clear. Aeration is so important! I particularly like the check-valve which prevents water from flowing back into the pump. That's important since I could not place it above the tank. Get the kit.

This air pump is very quiet; however, every few days or so, one of the tubes will come loose and fall off. I will notice because only one of the bubblers will be on and I can hear the air pump. I will put the tube back on and a few days later the other tube will be off. Maybe it’s because the air is coming out very strong that it causes the tube to come off, but it isn’t something that will result in me not being able to use it. Just a minor annoyance.

Works well and is actually very quiet. Has two outputs and at first I only used one which caused a little extra noise. Once both outputs were equipped with an air line, this unit was/is almost noiseless. Really quiet and would recommend.

Admittedly, my aquarium is in the living room with a bunch of other things that make noise; I've got three Eheim 2217s canister filters, a home theater amplifier fan, and a Drinkwell pet fountain running. So it's not a noiseless "bedroom environment". That said, this air pump is quieter than any of the aforementioned "noise makers" to the point I don't even know it's on. As to longevity, I haven't had it long enough to know if this pump is going to go the distance. Regarding how strong the pump is, I honestly just wanted it to be strong enough to drive an air stone and provide additional surface agitation at night. I've got a heavily planted tank, run CO2 during the day, and already have pretty good surface agitation. The air pump/air stone is just for added insurance at night that I'm bringing down CO2 levels. If you've got a fish-only tank and this pump is your primary surface agitator/oxygenator, your mileage may vary.

I've only had this for 3 days so I can't vouch for durability. I'll update the review if needed. But it's either completely silent or below the sound of the water bubbles it produces. The bubble adjuster is great, my prior air pump didn't have one. I have it barely turned on and it's bubbling away nicely. I have the single air stone model + attachments (air stone, adjuster, back flow valve & tubing).
