I have a tens 7000 and got this for the rechargeable battery. There is no Normal mode on this. Each mode is a minor variation on low intensity ramping to high then pause and repeat. Adjusting the power is a lot of clicking! And some times it's too low but just one click and it's too high, there's no in between. I have no idea why this has such high reviews. If you've used a tens 7000 you're going to find yourself disappointed in this. **Q: Why does this not have a universal charging port?** A: Thanks for your question. I use it almost daily. It’s very effective in lessening my pain. Today I could barely move after vacuuming. I hooked up to the TENS and it worked its magic. I was moving just fine 40 minutes later after applying it to four different places on my back. It is incredibly easy to use! So far I’ve only used the deep tension option because it feels to good to bother with any other setting. Ha! The pads suck on and stay on and adjusting the intensity is super easy.
