I will never do another wood burn without wearing a helmet with a face shield, the screen face shield on this helmet kept my face 30° cooler when I was standing close to the hot Fire I’m not much of a chinstrap wearing kind of guy, but wearing the chinstrap with this helmet does definitely make it way more secure on your head and it just feels and fits better when wearing the chinstrap. Specially if you wear glasses, the chinstrap will keep the forehead section of the helmet riding a little higher on your forehead, to keep the helmet from hitting your glasses and being uncomfortable. One negative, is that the adjustable air vents / heat vents on the side of the helmet are a little tricky to get to when the ear protection is attached, but it’s no big deal, you can still work it. Review: This is a nice safety helmet! - Helmet goes together easily. It's slightly disassembled for shipping. The hi-viz green is a good safety addition to the physical safety of the helmet and hearing protection, making you more visible to other equipment operators. The hearing protection has been comfortable and effective during extended use. Getting back into climbing after many years, needed some inexpensive gear to get me back up in a tree safely, and thought this would be a cheap helmet that'd last a climb or two, but its surprisingly heavy duty for the price. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, is the ear pro and face shield both squeak obnoxiously when rotating into place. It would just take a simple teflon washer to eliminate the annoying squeaking.
