A Great System For Back Of Hand And Outer Forearm, If Used Correctly
This is an excellent system, if used correctly. In giving these to my elderly father, I noted that he immediately began using them incorrectly and followed up with jokes and comments on how the little finger stretchers have no effect except, possibly, to strengthen a part of your hand that you almost never use in a strength motion, such as opening a sliding door with the back of your hand instead of using your palm. If you look at the pictures on the listing itself you will see photographs of hand models doing the exercise in similar fashion, also incorrectly, strengthening only the back of the hand, cutting all muscle exercise off at the wrist, which is bent forward, hand bending down. The correct way to use this is to bend at the wrist lifting the hand up, mimicking the position of a carpal tunnel brace, stretching the inner wrist. In the correct position, using these for the back of your hand, you will also feel contracting and release of the muscles that run along the outside of your forearm, from the pinky/little finger side of your hand up to the side of the elbow, the outer elbow. This muscle group is the area most benefited by doing this exercise. When you lift weights it is easy to exercise the group from the inner wrist to the inner elbow, to strengthen the group of muscles utilized in standard forearm exercise. It is also easy to strengthen the group along the back of the arm, from the middle finger up to nearly the same place in the inner elbow, such as when bending the hand up/back and lowering it repeatedly. However, I find it difficult to use the muscle from the outer hand, pinky finger side, to the outer side of the elbow, a group that is only used when the pinky finger is working, and, consequently, had weaker arms than I would like. A while ago, I began using these to exercise that portion of my forearm, with the side benefit of strengthening the back of my hand, and noticed clear and measurable results. As to the back of my hand, I really couldn't care any less but, as to the side of my arm, engaging the pinky and ring fingers in this exercise, when the hand is in the correct position, allowed me to get the repeated contraction and relaxation of the muscle up the outer side of my forearm that was needed to add a little bit of much needed muscle to that area. Why do I care about this muscle? Why would I want to thicken it up a little? Well, that is where my family comes in, specifically the smallest members. That muscle is the muscle protecting my arm when I fall to the side against furniture and other objects, which is an issue when tiny animals are running around your legs such that you have to choose between falling to the side or stepping on a beloved yet crazy fur baby. I have always chosen to fall over, protecting my little nut jobs, and always will. This little system has been of benefit to me and, if you use it correctly, will most likely be of benefit to you. A couple words of advice, keep them in the plastic pouch or enclosed in a package of some kind, as dehumidification will dry out the flexible material, and don't forget that over-stretching won't benefit you but will break the elastic material, necessitating much earlier re-purchase. While they don't last forever, nor should they, you can greatly extend the lifespan of the Airisland Finger Stretchers if you don't misuse them or dry them out. Good luck in finding the right exercise tools for your hands and forearms.

Great for building grip strength and for rehabilitating tennis elbow
I bought these on recommendation of my personal trainer to rehabilitate my tennis elbow. I progressed pretty rapidly from level 1 to level 3 within a few weeks of using them every night while watching TV. Impressively, they did work to effectively cure the tennis elbow in my right arm. Then I injured my left elbow arm by picking up a lawnmower battery. I was happily working on rehabilitating that one when the level 3 band snapped. I've only had these for a few months, so I was disappointed they failed so soon. They do work, but the quality could be better.

Defenity a case of "you get what you pay for".
I really liked the design and use of these things. Not overly difficult but a lot of reps gave me a solid workout of muscles I rarely exercised. However, after a short time the heavy band (only one I used) ripped. Keep in mind that I used this equipment for about 30 minutes a day, four days a week (most weeks). So thats approximately eight hours of use each month and ive only had them a few months. Not very durable IMO.

Great Physical Therapy for Busted Hands
I am not a doctor, but I broke my hand on a light pole in Mexico while I was on a tequila bender (I thought it was a tree; in Mexico it goes: tree, tree, light pole, tree, tree, light pole, etc.). When I got back home and got an X-Ray done the doctor said I had busted some fragments of bone off of my knuckles. The doc put me in a splint for a month or two and said to let the bones dissolve or push themselves out. Well, that let the bones and whatnot heal, but I didn't regain 100% use of my hand as the muscles weakened and the tendons stiffened over that month or two of non-use. My hand was weak and painful when I tried to fully extend my fingers, and weak in grip when I tried to do something like pull-ups. I did some reading and your hand has extensor tendons along with flexor tendons. The flexors let you close your hand, and the extensors are what let you open your hand. I ordered this because my main issue was fully opening and stretching my hand without arthritis-like pain. The tendons around your knuckles are surrounded by what's called a sheath, and I felt like my sheathes were too tight or stiff from healing. The first night I got this I put the Level 1 on my damaged hand and it was pretty difficult to use. I felt the burn in my knuckles flowing all the way into my forearms within 5 reps. I did three sets of 15 open/close with the level 1. I think that really helped with getting some blood flow back to the hand and I immediately had better range of motion with my fingers. I plan to keep using the level one and work my way up until my hand is back to normal. I tested the Level 1 on my non-damaged hand and it felt like there wasn't much resistance at all. Note that if you've got generally strong/decent working hands, you'll probably start out with the Level 3 bands.

High quality / durable product
I have been using since 2017 and the rubber is still in great / functional shape. A little tight getting on my fingers / thumbs (I wear large size gloves from most manufacturers) but fine, and likely helpful to keeping the bands on my fingers while I use them.

Love these bands! Buy these and get rid of those annoying minor hand pains on the back of your hands.
I love these things! I definitely recommend these to any weightlifters and everyone in general especially if your job involves you sitting in front of a computer all day with your hand on the mouse. If you have never owned the grips that you squeeze, get those too and most of your little wrist and hand pains will go away over time, just don't overdo it, otherwise the next day you are going to be in a world of pain from your hands being ridiculously sore (no you didnt pull or hurt anything, those are your muscles, ligaments and tendons aching from working them out for the first time, especially if you overdid it just did it all day). I never knew how weak my hand was when it came to expanding as opposed to squeezing (I can squeeze the 200lb metal grips). Level 1 is way to easy for me (again I gym and have great grip strength) but level 2 is right on the money. I tried level 3 and that is gonna take some time before I can do that one for 8-10 or more reps. After using these for a couple weeks, my hands definitely feel way better, I don't have that nagging minor pain on the back of my hand that sometimes happen after extended use of being on a computer (I'm a computer gamer so my hand is on a mouse way more than the average person). I see a lot of complaint about fingers not fitting in the holes. One, there is a specific hole made for the thumb, make sure you use that one. Two, yes they are on the smaller side (i have small fingers and i still have to stretch the holes slightly) however the entire thing stretches, just stretch it and put your fingers in one by one. Like some of these reviews, it almost sounds like their brains didnt understand the concept of elastic/stretchy material but yes I do agree they could be slightly bigger or have different sizes (youth, adult). But since its one size fits all I understand why they made it small becuase if its not snug on your fingers, it wont work as good. Also, another thing you can do is not even use the holes and instead put your fingers in the spaces in between the holes, that works too.

1 Year Later... Broke (Again) After 9 Months : 2nd 2018 Update
This WAS a 5 star product for me. The bands fit well on my finger tips, were relatively affordable, and I felt like the quality of the exercise was high. Exercising with these bands were super convenient because as a climber, I really need the therapy to keep my elbow tendinitis from flaring up. That is until... The gray one snapped! This is the band I needed the most. I was so surprised after only having the product for 2 full months. I bought these to replace my other low quality bands after hoping that this would be more durable. I had power fingers bands before trying these out and they lasted longer (and I thought those broke too fast too). Update January 2018: I received new ones promptly a couple of days later at no charge. Service is great so far and I hope the new ones last longer. Will update again. Update November 2018: First thing I'd like to mention is that since my last review, I changed the stars from 3 to 4. Here's why: I've used a few brands of extensor finger bands and these have been the best quality so far. By nature, I think they'll eventually break because these are rubber and there's only so much reinforcement it can have (especially the gray lighter ones). My gray bands broke again after 9 full months of up to 2x daily exercises and I always take them everywhere with me. Although I'm not happy they broke again, they lasted much longer than last time and 9 months of consistent use is much more than other brands I've used. I'd still like to see the gray ones last longer, as I haven't had any issues with the blue or black ones. Regardless... would recommend.

Good product just needs more resistence
This is a good quality product but its just very easy and doesnt really strengthen my hand that much. I have to double up 2 and 3 to really feel the resistence and work my hand. Saying that i do power lifting so im not sure if this would be better suited to someone who doesnt train as hard as me

Too small - look for something else
It's too small (7.5cm) to be useful. Holes don't fit your fingers and then you can't stretch your hand out. Look for something else bigger.
