All the adrenaline-punch any jet jockey would appreciate along with some very moving and reflective moments which, in essence, gives the film that extra edge compared with the 80’s original. Now don’t get me wrong, TOP GUN, the original was top of it’s class when it was made, just ask any Navy Recruiter, but in my humble estimation, TOP GUN MAVERICK, tells the story of a fighter jock who has come full circle. The aerial cinematography is bar none! NOTE: If nothing else, get the DVD to watch the extras and the over-the-top training and the commitment everyone gave in the making of TOP GUN MAVERICK.
