Surprisingly at the price, worked perfect for my GE top loader. Local supply store wanted $100+. Had multiple clicks of the lock and machine wouldn't start. perfect replacement and easy install. done at least 30 loads since. highly recommend

It works wonderfully, it was completely easy to install it and worth the money. I have a ge top load washer and I was hoping it would fit & it did!

I installed this replacement lid lock on my GE washer, and while it physically fit, the performance was completely unreliable. Sometimes the machine would finish a cycle but wouldn’t unlock. Other times, I had to power-cycle the machine just to get the lid to open — and even that didn’t always work. In some cases, the washer wouldn't drain properly unless I manually restarted the spin cycle. It became clear that the new lock was not functioning consistently. At first I wasn’t sure if it was just the mechanical switch or something with the control board, but the fact that pausing the machine sometimes allowed the lid to open suggested this lock was part of the problem. Eventually, I had to take the top off the washer just to forcibly remove the lock and regain access. I replaced it with a different-brand part, and everything has worked flawlessly since. This part cost me a lot of time and frustration. I don’t recommend it.

It’s working for now. Does have a few glitches, such as I did still have an issue with the drain/spin cycle. Also it started on it on while I was selecting a cycle. Only happened once so we will see.

I was not sure what part I needed but after a few videos, I took a chance that this was the most common fault with GE washers. I was able to remove the old one and install the new one with no tools except a flat head screwdriver to remove the top play that holds the part. It was very easy and it fixed the issue. If your machine just clicks and does nothing else, this is likely the solution. 63 y.o. Lady got this!
