A favorite of 'round-the-worlders' and those who ride beyond the horizon, the Kathmandu jacket and pants are a great combination for taking the road less traveled.

Me ha encantado
NO resisitiria una caida a alta velocidad aunque posee zonas de proteccion, pero el pantalon cumple a cabalidad para todos los climas

Great, comfortable pants
Let me start by saying that when I ordered this product, it had to be shipped from a third party (Motorangutan in Austin, TX). I was notified from Amazon that the estimated delivery window was a week out. I was surprised to see them two days later on my doorstep, so big kudos and thanks on the fast shipping!Onto the pants. First of all, they are exactly as described and the sizes are very close to true. Second, they are very comfortable even if you are wearing them on your skin. They breathe fairly well. Third, the fabric and stitching are both very good and seem very sturdy; although, I hope to never find out how they fare on the street. Overall, very good product and I will update this review if anything else good or bad comes to light. The only drawback to these pants, and this is nitpicking, is that the D3O inserts at the knee and thigh are CE level 1 which is great, but Iโd be willing to pay the $40 to just have the product ship with level 2. But that is a personal preference, and I know not everyone shared that sentiment, alas, 5 stars.

I have the same thing in a smaller waist size, but I needed a somewhat larger size because I carry things like a leatherman and a flashlight in a pouch on my belt. These pants have the armor over the knees and hip bones, are very waterproof if the vents are zipped closed, and aren't too hot in summer if the vents are open and you are moving. Don't be the dummy who wears blue jeans on a motorcyle, the pavement at 35 mph will grind right though your sking down to the bone. Wear all your gear, all the time.

Not that great
Really upset about these pants 2 months later, they leak on the leg vent, tight fit that hasn't got any looser like I'd hoped..now they sit in my closet..

I love the Jacket
I bought the pants and the jacket together. I love the Jacket, but the pants are not quite five start to me. They are comfortable, and for cold weather they are great. One problem I find is that as it gets warmer they get uncomfortable quickly, even with the liner out and the vents open there is not much airflow. The other problem is the pocket layout. The one leg pocket is great, but two would be better, and the reach through pockets are not something I really like. Still, for winter these pants are great and I continue to use them when the weather is cooler.

Firstgear Kathmandu Coat and Pants
I bought these over a year ago along either the matching coat. I have had great success with them. I ridden my 2009 R1200GS in 14 degree cold of this past Carolina winter and in Fl heat and heavy rain. I am positive the ability of the suit to keep me warm/cool and dry made my trips up to 1700 miles in varying conditions as comfortable and successful as could be.

Pants arrived early and as described. The new design has a velcro close pocket on the outside of the right leg. it's great for holding your wallet when you need to buy gas. No searching in your jeans or hard cases. nice touch.
