I use a caddy that stacks my bars vertically, I use these on each layer of the caddy. They prevent what is on the upper layers from dripping on the lower layer. They also do not seem to build up soap residue as quickly as soap dishes do. Love them.

These work great to keep your bar soaps elevated so they don’t dissolve so quickly. They had a funny odor when I received them but I tossed them in the washing machine with a load and the smell came right out. I also wash them that way periodically to keep them clean and free of soap residue. Definitely worth the money!
