The MIDI Manual: A Practical Guide to MIDI in the Project Studio (Audio Engineering Society Presents)

This book is an essential addition to my MIDI book collection. Happy I got it.

This is an excellent general overview of MIDI at this time (2008). I, however, was looking for something that had more practical tips or techniques for making more realistic MIDI files. This book only has a few tips for producing better MIDI files. I have not found a text devoted to that topic yet. But, for what it aims to do, this is an excellent text.

This book is packed full of information, can be a little dense and hard to digest at times, but overall a good guide for all audio engineers.

Bought this text book for my son to use on his Kindle reader at college. Helps him being able to have most of his text books on his handheld reader.

One of the best texts for understanding MIDI! Comprehensive and down to earth. I will probably never sell it as long as I use MIDI for synthesis.

Good book

Does what it says in the title. Simple and easy to follow. Good book for beginners. Engaging enough to keep my interest.

If you don't know about MIDI, this is the place to start Learning.Well written, with good illustrations, examples, and applications.

Was hoping for a more practical guide. Informative bt not what I was looking for.
