I made a custom wood box platform for my Honda Element and this foam was the best option by far...it was easy to cut down using an electric turkey cutter knife.The 3 inches of foam is more than enough for me as a skinny guy who sleeps on my side. With a wood base below, the medium firm mattress I bought is nice and firm but just soft enough to be very comfy for me and my doggy sidekick.I have so far slept on this setup close to 20 times and have no desire to change it. I can highly recommend this foam in every way. It is even an American Made product with reason able pricing.Also, I slept on my 3" foam in my home a few nights on top of a medium firmness mattresses...it was very comfortable but a little softer than expected because of not having a firm base mattress below it, however it did make my sleep better at home.There was no terrible smell when removing the foam from the plastic packaging and it expanded to full size almost immediately. I have been looking for this on Amazon for a long time and I didn’t found it until now. I have a mattresses that is so tough and firm it was impossible to sleep. I put this foam over it and it is so good and soft like sleeping on a cloud! I have Arthritis and my pain went down from a 10/10 to a 4/10. It is hot, yes. But you can put a cotton bed protector and use cotton sheets. It is sturdy! It doesn’t break like the new infused mattress.
