Assorted Merino Roving Ends & Mixed Fiber Waste - Bulk Top Fiber for Felting, Spinning & Blending

UPDATE: I ordered this for a second time, both the white and multi colored and was super happy with what I got. I received 5 substantial pieces of brightly colored combed top: pink, yellow, bright green, bright blue, and navy. I was able to use it to make some rainbow rolags for spinning. The white pack contained 6 different fibers, 4 in large amounts, 2 in small amounts. The one on the bottom left in the picture was strangely textured/clumped together in some places and had a tiny bit of vegetable matter, but it was easy to pick out. The small bright white was incredibly soft. These mostly ended up blended together with the colors to make pastel rainbows. I'm planning to use the yarn I make in a giant knit rainbow shawl. Very happy with this purchase! Recommended! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ordered this because I'm trying to teach myself how to use a drop spindle and wanted to try some variety of fibers before I ordered a larger selection. Based on others' reviews I was expecting 5-8 different fibers, and several of them neutral... That's in line with what I received. I have 2 very large selections of grey and dark navy blue, 2 medium sized selections of bright blue and burgundy, and 1 small section of very soft pearly white (this is a different fiber or blend of fibers than the rest). Including the plastic bag, my scale said it weighed 220 grams... Very happy with that! Considering it's winter, I figured I would receive darker colors, which I did. Overall, I'm super excited to start working with these fibers. I think the value for the variety and amount is great! Now I just have to wait until my spindle arrives in the mail!

I was looking for a variety of colors so I could make some smaller 2d ornaments. This wool is beautiful!! It feels so nice and the variety of colors are perfect for my use. I've made 2 ornaments so far and what a pleasure to use as this wool felts easily and quickly. Quality wool from ethically raised animals is expensive, but worth it. I believe this set is a very good value.

This Corriedale wool is perfect for felting. I work with a combination of needle and wet felting. This wool works in quickly for both. Just love the colors too. I got the mix called colorful. It's beautiful. Maybe a little more cost wise but well worth it!

I took a chance buying this knowing I could get a random selection of colors. Most of the colors seemed a little lack luster to me, mostly neutrals. Until I realized a few of the bundles had shiny fibers in them! 🙂 You get a great amount of wool! I’d say it’s worth it! It really is random so I would keep that in mind!

Love the colors and different fibers im impressed and i think it’s worth every penny. Some are very soft and silky, cant wait to spin them on my wheel. Im adding to my review i got another bag of the fiber. This stuff is amazing i love the different animal fibers you get and the colors are great!

There was very little variety in this bag compared to the first that I ordered several months ago. I received a couple different fibers of about pencil roving thickness -- one group of pieces is coarse with a very long staple length, the other softer and silky; a few very short pieces of top roving; a tiny smidgen of something quite silky and lustrous; and the rest (the vast majority of the package) was a couple of large "clouds" of delightfully soft wool. I'm not dissatisfied, as the fiber is all clean and will be useful in my crafting projects. I was just hoping I'd get lucky with more assorted fiber blends rather than one giant quantity of plain wool and a few small extras of different fibers.

Terrible! More than half of the bag was undyed white low quality matted wool. The rest of the bag, mostly felted like it had tumbled around for a long time. I ended up with about 1.5oz of usable wool that was an ugly solid tan/orange.
