Very tidy, no moving parts so hopefully reliable
Ridiculously easy to install, I plugged in hub and paired with app, then put batteries in everything and it was just "there" done, then just consisted of tightening it on the end of the pole. (bought separately) It's only been setup a few hours but sensors are quite in-depth and I purchased a separate wireless thermometer (WH31) to put in my shed, updates frequently and signal has no issues. I've paired it with my Home Assistant, to aid in temperature regulation and irrigation of lawn/plans, setup was one of the easier HA tasks as between the ecowitt app & integration all the detail required was quite clearly provided and accurate, sensors available in HA 'out the box' are as in my screenshot. also worth keeping in mind the central bit of the sensor on top appeared lop lifted/lopsided as if it may have been damaged but after checking photos of others it appears to be normal.

Very comprehensive and good value for what its capable of doing
First - this Weather Station MUST have a Wifi and Internet connection throughout your home. You must also have a Smart Phone (with latest Android or IOS O/S) and a PC to be able to collect and view the data. The initial set up routine is a bit tricky and the supplied leaflet can be a bit confusing! I suggest you install the Ecowitt APP on your mobile phone and create an account (free) before you start. Then ensure your mobile phone is connected to your 2.4GH Wi-Fi router (NOT 5GH) Then via the APP on your mobile phone install the HUB carefully following the guide instructions shown on your mobile. It took three attempts before I got it set up, but all successful in time. Then instal the AA batteries in the Station itself. That should then soon register with the HUB and thus data visible on your Mobile phone as active. If you also send data to Wunderground (or other web site) the APP on your mobile phone has a page in MENU under OTHERS and DIY Servers to register your device. Then install the station itself in the position you prefer outside. The data then sent to your mobile phone and (and PC web page) is remarkably detailed and the graphs fully customisable for display DAY, 24 Hours, Week, Month etc and viewable in Landscape or Portrait. Landscape is more detailed and easier to view. As far as I can tell the data is accurate in comparison to conventional thermometers and barometers, and rainfall seems accurate in comparison to a previous now failed weather station. Humidity and sunlight/UV also seem accurate as far as I can tell. Wind speed and direction I have no way of comparing, but seem good. Each measuring data point can be adjusted to compensate for local conditions in settings (ie height above sea level etc) Alarms can be set for certain conditions as warnings etc. All in all I am very pleased with the unit and the data it supplies and the way it can be displayed. My only criticism would be that the INDOOR temperature and humidity sensor is NOT remote and is connected by wire 1 meter long to the Hub itself, so it can be tricky to place the sensor in a suitable place - as you are limited to mains power supply socket location etc. POWER SUPPY NOT provided but any 5v DC supply with suitable plug to the hub is fine. However the socket in the hub is NOT same as those in mobile phones. This is the third weather station I have owned over 15 years and is by far the best and comprehensive, though was also the most costly! From the Ecowitt web page of your weather station on your PC, it is possible to export data, into Excel format Am very impressed so far, though I cannot vouch for reliability or longevity but it seems well made and robust. The pole socket is for 1inch pipe/tube and has locking collar to tighten it in place.

What a great weather station!
Really impressed with this so far. Very easy to set up, I had a bit of a query about the set up and I got an answer to my question very quickly so that was good. Loving the fact that it has no moving parts - I never really believed my previous weather stations when it came to the wind detection because the dreaded pole wobble seemed to cancel out the speed and the rotating windspeed detector would inevitable seize up in the end. Where this set up really excels is the wealth of info you can draw from it and the accessibility of that info. You have all the data set out very clearly in all sorts of graphs and charts and they are just there on your phone / laptop / tablet where ever you are in the world and then see data from every connected weather station in the world all set out in detail so if you are a weather obsessed individual you really can not ask for more. Plus there is no additional charge (not yet anyway!). By far the best weather station I have had, and I have had a few.

Superficially good but some questions on data
First - be careful about the reviews below; some are NOT for the Wittboy, Amazon seem to have mixed up another device's reviews. Check that on each review. The WittBoy is certainly a good looking design. Easy to mount and get going. My experience with data quality is that it looks OK, but I don't have the equipment to make a qualified review. My main issue is that I purchased it to have a measure of solar energy each day to relate to my home solar panel performance. In particular, I wanted to have a reference so that when I adjust my solar panel positioning and angles, I would have a benchmark to adjust my panel readings. But whilst the WittBoy has daily cumulative readings for rainfall etc, it doe not for solar energy (Watts per square metre). I cant see how to get that other than sampling say every 5 minutes with an API. I am not well versed in APIs so I'm stumped on getting that daily figure easily. I think EcoWitt should fix the device to provide cumulative solar, on a daily and monthly basis. Also they should have a API YouTube tutorial. On the quality of dat, there is a lot of anecdotal material of the web about the rainfall accuracy. Some reports about huge errors. It seems the tipping bucket method is still the best.

A shame the unit overreads on temperature due to poor shield
I have had this equipment for around 2 months now and I like the ease of install and set up for WIFI, and the ability to join to Weather Underground and WeatherCloud etc. I have mine on a pole I bought at a local diy store above a fence, only around 2 to 3 m off the ground so the wind readings are pretty hopeless at this height - although I wasn't too worried about that. Realistically all models fail in it being impossible to measure all features (temp, rain, wind) accurately at an 'ideal' height. If you want to do that you need the early Davis gear or something similar where you can site the units separately. Rain needs to be at ground level, temperature at about 1 to 2m and wind ideally at 10m. It is important to place this unit in the open, including being exposed to full sun however for accurate-ish readings of most features. I have found that when the sun shines on the unit the temperature is reading 2 to 3C higher than local readings and my 'official' gauge inside a larger stevenson style screen. I therefore choose not to share my readings publicly from this system as they are way off. So, it really depends what you want this for, but unsure how and if any others have avoided inaccurate temperatures under sunshine/bright conditions. I think possibly UV and Radiation (w m/2) is reading too high as well. I've had readings of 9 in the UK already and it's only April! I do rate the haptic rain gauge though, had not used one of these before - but last month for instance it was under 1mm different at month end from my standard gauge in what was quite a wet month. Possibly overreads a little in light rainfalls and underreads in downpours (by up to 5mm). A good starter kit for would not recommend if this is your only one and you want really accurate readings.

Excellent
This has been the best weather station I’ve had. It has no moving parts, like an anemometer or rain gauge. It uses lots of new tech that I really don’t understand. This has certainly been the longest lasting one. I’ve had to change batteries in the unit a couple of times but it’s no hassle and the unit connects back straight away. We bought a unit for the kitchen that connects to it and shows all the info. I have found that there’s a robin who isn’t bothered about the bird spikes. I suppose it deters bigger birds. Overall, I’d say this is very good.

Make sure it is lined up to North.
Easy to install, as readings go im not sure of accuracy, it's not intrusive it sits on the gable end of my house. Purchased a large tablet from eBay and it displays info..

Downside ZERO.
Wanted a decent weather station that would work with Home Assistant. Asked a question of Ecowitt - blinding fast response (yes, you knew that, didn't you). Chose the WS90 with the GW200 gateway and the lightning sensor too. Set these up in the EcoWitt app and thought - "right, down to the hard part - making it work with HA". Well, that was wrong it was what's the word - oh yeah, trivial. |Had a slight oddity about "There's no Wind Chill!" then read and it is only calculated above a certain wind speed - and yup, boys and girls, it is there. So what's the downside... Well they both use 2 * AA batteries - up a pole, not ideal. Looked around, few things I could make work, but thought "Let's ask Ecowitt". ANOTHER blinding response and yes they do have an extension for the WS90 not the Lightning, but I can adapt the WS90 one), so that's going to get ordered (don't think Amazon do them though). Overall working - tick, Support - tick, Happy bunny - TICK.

Schönes Bauteil mit vieler Funktionalität
Top.
