Vive Gait Belt (300lbs) Transfer Belt with Handles
The Vive Gait Belt is a game-changer for anyone assisting patients or loved ones with mobility needs. The quality and sturdiness of this belt are immediately noticeable—it easily supports up to 300 lbs and gives me complete confidence while helping with transfers. The dual handles are comfortable, well-positioned, and make lifting, guiding, or steadying someone much safer and easier. I especially appreciate the quick-release metal buckle and the “grabbing teeth” design—it ensures a secure fit without any slipping. This belt was designed with both caregiver and patient safety in mind. Whether for physical therapy, elderly care, or assisting someone with limited mobility, this belt makes the process smooth, secure, and much less stressful. Highly recommend to nurses, therapists, or anyone needing a reliable transfer belt that truly delivers on safety and comfort!

Secure, Comfortable Support for Safer Transfers
Secure, Comfortable Support for Safer Transfers The Vive Gait Belt is a well-made, thoughtfully designed transfer aid that strikes a great balance between safety and comfort. The wide 4-inch nylon strap feels sturdy and supportive, and the seven padded handles are positioned perfectly—giving caregivers multiple grip points for lifting or steadying from any angle. It’s ideal for helping someone rise from a chair, move between bed and wheelchair, or walk short distances with extra stability. The quick-release metal buckle is easy to secure and adjust, even for one-handed use, and it stays locked during transfers without slipping. The belt adjusts to fit most waist sizes (up to about 51 inches), making it practical for both home use and professional caregiving. The handles are soft but firm enough to provide good leverage, which really helps reduce strain on the caregiver’s back and knees. The nylon material can feel a bit slick on certain fabrics, especially when used over smooth clothing, so it helps to position it snugly around the waist or over non-slippery clothing. Bottom line: durable, comfortable, and caregiver-friendly gait belt that provides dependable support for safe transfers and mobility training—an essential tool for home health care or physical therapy use.

Well made and heavy duty.
Thankfully I haven't needed to use this, but I'm glad I got it. It is more heavy duty than the regular band. Takes longer to put on, but it is well made.

Well made & durable
I originally ordered just one & two months later, ordered a second. This way there was no waiting for it to dry after washing. Today, after more than a year of daily use between the two, i am ordering a third. The metal clamp at the edge came off. Love the multiple handles, i can grab anywhere across the back to secure my husband. Various medical professionals and therapists have commented on how well it is made. Unfortunately, I have had to pick him up after he tried to do things on his own. I cannot begin to tell you how many times this belt has prevented other falls.

Strong belt but buckle slides open
This gait belt is very strong but not secure with the metal belt buckle. I'd give it a 5 star, but I wish it had padding for the patient especially an elderly person. All the padded belts on this site had plastic buckles which I would not feel safe carrying that much weight. After using this a couple of time, I realized the buckle slides loose. I have a standard canvas/cotton gait belt, and it stays very secure. The material on this belt is slippery, and the teeth of the buckle do not pierce the material so that it stays in place. I think this section of the belt should be made of canvas

My wife now has plenty of grips to hold onto while we’re on the motorcycle!
So, I got the Vive Gait Belt, and my first thought was, "Wow, this thing is really sturdy." It's got a bunch of hand grips that you can use depending on your friends' position, which my passenger found super handy. The belt itself is simple—just a straightforward mechanism—but it does the job. It feels solid, which is great for me as the rider and for my wife as the passenger, since she now has plenty of grips to hold onto while we’re on the motorcycle. I have to say, I really love this belt as an optional accessory for motorcycle passengers. I’m still a beginner rider, and my wife isn’t exactly thrilled with my skills yet. Plus, she felt pretty uncomfortable sitting behind me without anything to hold onto. Now that she can grip onto the belt around my waist, she’s definitely more relaxed. There are a lot of grip options, which is a cool feature, but I admit this belt is a bit overkill for my purpose since it’s actually designed for lifting heavier folks. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the price—this one is cheaper than similar motorcycle belts I’ve seen on Amazon or other online stores, and it feels way more secure without any plastic buckles or flimsy parts. One possible downside is that if you’re not wearing a motorcycle jacket, the material could feel a bit rough on your skin since it’s meant for heavy-duty use. So far, I’ve been using it for my wife to hang onto while I’m riding, and she says it’s really comfortable. Overall, it’s been a great little addition for our rides!
