Really impressed with the quality of this leather cover. It feels durable, the tan color looks great, and it holds my A5 notebook securely. The pocket is handy for keeping small papers together.

I love this journal/notebook cover. It fits my Midori A5 Codex perfectly and my full sized fountain pen fits in the pen loop. The leather is lovely, the color beautiful, and the stitching is precise and sturdy. I am very pleased and would purchase again.

I love this 7”x9” cover!!. It’s perfect for my small daily calendar and task list with several pockets for misc loose reference items for same. I use a small pocket calendar I can just pull out without having to deal with the bulky cover. It’s flexible. Great quality! Smells like leather. Not too small to be marginally useful and not too big so it easily slips into medium size purse. It’s these things in life, lol!!! Did I mention I love it?

This is a decent cover for the price. The leather is a consistent thickness and subtly grained. The stitching appears machined, but they do heat-press the threat ends so there aren't knots/ends. The thread is a bit thin, but since there is no stitching groove, the thread still stands up off the surface and will wear in time or snag. The craftsmanship is middling. The edges aren't burnished or sealed in any way, making it more rustic. The leather is stained and may be waxed or sealed lightly. The pen holder is slightly crooked; not terribly, but once you notice it you can't unsee it. The pen loop is also kinda big, which would be great if you're using a fat luxury pen or fountain pen, but the loop is so big it impacts a standard A5 notebook. The design is simple and streamlined, no buttons or tabs to impact laying flat for writing or snagging on things when sliding in or out of a bag. Huge plus for me. Downside is nothing keeps it closed, if that's an issue for you. I tried it with the notebook tucked into both front and back flaps, but it makes opening the notebook awkward and strains the notebook binding, also sits a little weird. The pics are with an A5 notebook installed. This is a nice design and materials, but it's not a finished product that will last more than a few seasons of hard use. It sits in the well between handmade craft and machine-made precision, embodying neither. In my opinion, this is an excellent project for a beginner leathercrafter to finish without dealing with the design/cutting mess. I'm going to pull it apart, trim down the pen loop, make stitching grooves, burnish all the edges, and restitch it with heavier thread, and then wax the whole thing.

This cover is beautiful! Lovely leather and great stitching. I added a hole in the spine to thread in an elastic closure and it’s my perfect cover now.

I just wasn’t a big fan of the leather that was used for this. I bought three different leather covers through Amazon, and this one just didn’t use very good quality leather. I didn’t return it, but I am just not going to use it much.

These leather covers are absolutely gorgeous! I bought the "A5 Leather Refillable Journal Cover with Inner Pockets, Pen Loop & Card Slots" by TheAntiq. I use a Day-Timer that is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", wire/spiral bound with (3) months per book - Day-Timer "Journal size". I add a lot of papers (& paper clips), so at the end of (3) months, my book is about 2" thick. This cover holds everything together with no problem. I only slide the back cover of my Day-Timer into the slot and leave the front cover free. This allows me to easily find any page I need. This cover acts as a beautiful protective & containing wrapper. These covers are a soft, buttery leather. I am not worried about "durability" because it will not get hard use with the way I plan to use it - in my home, by my living room chair. I bought the GREEN cover to use for every day, but I like it so much that I bought a 2nd (dark) BLUE cover to use for travelling.
