However, since panels may expand/contract with tem-perature changes, they must be installed tightly. To minimize the effect of expansion and contraction, install the panels as tightly as possible, you need to follow the storage and installation instructions carefully.A. Wall requirement: The substrate should be a backer board or OSB of at least ½" thick. This board needs to be attached securely to the building using a construction adhesive and screws.B. Storage: Store panels on a flat surface in order to avoid ‘bowing’. (If panels are stored in an upright position and do bow, lay them flat and they will self-correct. It may cost 72 hours or more) Acclimate (adjust) panels to the moisture and temperature conditions of the installation surface for 24 hours before installation. C. Minimize the temperature effects: If panels have been stored under hot conditions, allow panels to adjust to normal temperature before installation.Once the panels at room temperature, you may install panels im-mediately. D. Paint cut edges to maintain the status of panels: Use Touch Up Paint to cover cut edges to avoid cut edges of panels exposed to as the Polyurethane will discolor with exposure to sunlight.
