Loved the book will work at picking up more Greek phrases. However don’t think easiest language to learn.

Nice vocab book

Very useful as there simply aren’t Greek vocabulary books out there. BUT, none of the nouns have their gender stated, which is a real nuisance.

I got it for my bf as he is learning greek and there's 1 word that actually made me laugh... China.. he pronounced it like I would if I saw that .. like the country . Buuuuuut it is actually χήνα ( hena) = goose! It's still a joke between us tho

The range of vocabulary is good - but the "english" guide to pronunciation is wrong. For example the d shape in greek is an english th but in the book d is used. And the greek "mp" should be pronounced with a b but the english text has mp.

The book is very thin and is printed on cheap quality paper. The printing quality is also poor. It’s also disappointing that the pronunciations for the words are not included. It would be helpful to have this broken down into chunks.. E.g Nai, is it n-ay or n-igh. This is not obvious to most.

its really cute and pleasant to look like, the aesthetics makes me want to study it more! and its colours that you arent used to seeing together but that just make sense.. you know?

This is an interesting little dictionary with pages of: nouns, verbs, numbers, body parts, animals, adjective, adverbs, prepositions, clothes, home, and a good deal more. Both photos and drawings are used to illustrate the vocab. The Greek is offered, as well as an English transliteration including an accent mark on the stressed syllable. A good learning tool. It is paperback, so I can't attest to sturdiness, but I recommend it highly for content for interested beginners.

I bought this so that I can brush up on my Greek which I haven't used since my mother passed.My daughter and her boyfriend are going to Greece and this is going to be great for them.
