There are pirated copies for sale that are not legitimate. The ISBN-13 for my book is 978-0985296575 . Be sure that the copy you are purchasing shows this. The actual publication date for the real book is June 2, 2022. Do not click on other links that don't have this ISBN-13 number or have a different publication date . Those take you to a pirated copy that is full of gibberish. I try to update desertcart when I see these. The ICU Survival Book is a guide for residents, students, advanced practice providers, and critical care nurses who want to learn the basics of critical care medicine. This reference is designed to follow the systems-based format that is used during rounds in the intensive care unit. Hemodynamics, respiratory failure, neurocritical care, and massive transfusion protocols are among the topics covered. The ICU Survival Book is not a comprehensive textbook on critical care. It is designed to be a tool to be used at the bedside, between patients, and in the workroom. Each section has a list of things you'll be expected to know on rounds, along with the key concepts you must understand to survive your ICU rotation. The ICU Survival Book is the latest publication from the author of the internationally bestselling The Ventilator Book . Dr. William Owens is known for explaining complex medical subjects in terms that are easy for learners to understand. This book is perfect for trainees, students on clinical rotations, and unit staff. Review: Great intro - As a 4th med student slated to start an ICU rotation, this has been a pleasant read, simple to understand, just what i needed before talking things like Marino Review: New Grad RN - As a new graduate RN starting directly into critical care, this book has been so helpful! I work as a Nurse Apprentice in critical care now and my colleagues are often asking to reference it. Our manager is going to be utilizing them for our floor! Love this book and the humor and tone in which it is written. It makes critical care make sense!

Good overview of patient conditions in the ICU
The book provides basic explanations of commons conditions found in ICU patients. The explanations are not in depth, but are straight forward. The references give the reader other sources for more detailed explanations. While this book is intended for medical students and residents, it is great for anyone working in the ICU wanting a better understanding of patient conditions.

Kindle版は内容が違うようです
Kindle版が出たので喜んで購入しましたが,表紙だけこの本で中は"ICU SURVIVAL GUIDE"という異なる本です。とりあえず購入されない方が良いです。
