Fantastic product that makes carrying your gear (electronic or otherwise) a breeze.
Honestly I've become a huge fan of the Cocoon GRID-IT products. They are so useful in so many applications. It's not just something for geeks or gadget go-ers. We use ours for carrying mobile phones, cables, sunglasses, pliers and tools, pens, calculators, makeup, mascara, lipbalm, this list really is endless. The elastic is very tough and will hold anything in but it doesn't damage the things you put in there. This sunvisor shape is really useful and I actually use mine in my work bag to hold all my bits and pieces in the one place. Such a great organiser because it's all there, you don't have to open anything up or go looking for anything. Everyone who sees this asks me to have a go putting their stuff in and it's always fun to see how amazed people are by what they can bundle up in it. When I go travelling I put all my bits and pieces in it and off I go. At the airport, I whip it out in security and easy, done. No hassles, no unpacking anything. You wouldn't believe the number of security checkpoint people who've remarked about how cool it looks and where can they get it from. Hmm, mental note, maybe Cocoon owes me a commission. ;) Honestly I don't work for the company. And if I had to say anything negative it would be that their packaging is enormous. I had some products delivered to a hotel my aunt was staying at, to bring back for me, and she almost had a heart attack when she saw the box. All for 4 flat items. Ridiculous. So be aware that the box may be huge. But other than that, I love this product and am slowly but surely expending my range and my friends and family list who now own one. Perfect gift idea. Especially for those who have everything or people you don't really know. They'll think you're such a smart buyer! Cocoon CPG5GY GRID-IT Organizer, 10.25 x 5.125 Inch, Gray

Must Have Gear
Bought this as a gift and I now have serious "gift envy". The 10 x 5" is perfectly sized to hold a Droid X, iPod Nano, chargers, usb cables, SD cards, and memory sticks...and room to spare. She can put all her geek gear in her purse yet easily access it when needed without dumping the entire contents on the car seat just to find the charger. The "pink" is really mostly grey with pink accents put all her electronic gear is pink anyways, so it looks really great and girlie. Her gear is neatly organized, secured safely, and easily retrieved. It's really cool when she puts it on the dash of the car. Her gear is near by, contained and doesn't slide across the dash when cornering. Every gadget guy could use one (black please), all geek girls need one, and tech savvy ladies will appreciate one.

Yup. It organizes your cables...
When I just received this product and opened it, not going to lie, I just said, "Hmph." Felt cheap. Smelled cheap. I don't think it's going to last long. I have never owned any of these, so I didn't quite know what to make of the different size/length bands. It took me a bit to figure out where I can put what and how to place my gear in the most efficient manner. I was about to give up on this, since it felt that if you put one item in the best spot, then it killed optimization for every other spot. I figured that since I had a USB charger and different cables to plug into it, to set it up so I can use some of my cables without taking anything out of the organizer itself. I came up with what you see in my pictures. There is a very thin zippered pouch in the back, which I used to hold the charger's cable when not plugged in. When I use it, I take it out of my backpack, take the charging cable out from the pouch in the back and plug it in. I lay it on my desk and just pull out the cable I need. I left enough slack to lead into my devices without having to take the whole cable out. There are extra USB ports and cables in case I need to charge all of my devices at once, but I usually don't, so i didn't plug those cables in or leave any slack to use them without pulling them out. Hopefully, not having to pull anything in or out of the elastic bands will not cause any stress to them and make them fail. I'm pretty sure I'm going to break the zipper from the pouch in the back prett quickly, but I don't need to zip up the charger cable, since it stays in place by the pressure against the fabric. All in all, maybe more expensive than the craftsmanship, but we shall see.

March 7, 2014 - My Review of Cocoon GRID-IT Organizer (CPG5RD)
The Cocoon Grid-It Organizer works well organizing my Apple devices accessories. I wanted a good and effective way to neatly store items in my Thule carrier and I found it in the Grid-It Organizer. Now all my cables, plugs, ear phone, notes, pens, etc., are neatly held in place. The Cocoons design is made-up of various lengths of elastic. These elastics crisscross each other to form various pocket sizes. My Thule Bag holds my iPad Air, Macbook Pro 13”, and the Cocoon Grid-It Organizer (CPG7RD and CPG8RD); items are neatly organized in its proper place. The Cocoons designed appealed so much to me, that in addition to this Cocoon Grid-It Organizer (CPG5RD) Dimensions 0.4 x 10.2 x 5.1 inches ; 6.4 ounces; I purchased the 3 other sizes: Cocoon GRID-IT Organizer Red (CPG7RD) Dimensions: 0.4 x 7.2 x 9.2 inches ; 7.4 ounces Cocoon GRID-IT Organizer Red (CPG8RD) Dimensions: 0.4 x 7.5 x 10.5 inches ; 8.5 ounces Cocoon GRID-IT Organizer Red (CPG10RD) Dimensions: 0.4 x 12 x 8 inches In conclusion, the Cocoon Grid-It does what it is designed for and I give it a five star because it does what it is supposed to do.

Durable, Great for holding small items in spaces not easily organized, definitely recommended
Creative product! Fits in my wife's purse, bag or car glovebox. Great for smaller items. Pretty thin, but does add a small amount of additional bulk. You can slip in items on both sides. While great for bags and car storage, I don't think these work all that well in a desk or dresser drawer that is less than a few inches deep. For those shallow areas, other organizer type pieces may work better. Materials are very durable and no problems after months of use.

Great Concept and Great Quality
Great Product. The quality is great and the product is solid. When I read "customized" I thought I could customize how the rubber bands are waved. But it looks like I miss read it. You can customized fit your gadget into the existing layout. The reason I am giving this a three start is the size of this particular one is not ideal. It's actually not very useful. If you think about, most of the gadget is 3 inches to 5 inches. This means the board can only hold one vertically or one horizontally with a lot unused spaces. If you try to line up two in one row, then they tends to fall out easy. Also the way the bands waved together, It's hard to put any gadgets side by side. In short, I recommend looking into larger ones with more usable center spaces.

For the travelers with a slight dusting of OCD
So my quest to consolidate my travel bag and briefcase lead me to the GRID-IT organizer. I have used various sized zipped bags for all of the cables and accessories that I need to have with me when I travel, but I was never completely happy with them. I searched several travel and gadget sites and all roads lead to GRID-IT. When I unpacked it last night I knew that I had found what I was looking for. The 10.25"x5.125" version fits perfectly into my laptop back pack ( a SOLO backpack that is OK, but I'm still looking for The One), the GRID-IT actually fits right into the pocket that was built in for an e-reader (where I keep my Kindle Fire) and still has room for the reader. It took about five minutes to determine a layout that would work for me and all of my gear, after that it was literally a snap to get everything snug in its place. Below is what I have stuffed into the GRID-IT: iPhone cable long - For hooking into rental cars. 3.5mm cable long - For hooking into rental cars. Dual wall and 12 Volt USB Charger Mini iPhone cable Mini USB Cable Mini Micro USB Cable Bluetooth Headset USB Cable Mini Display Port to VGA Adapter Scosche Iphone Back Up Battery Targus Laser Pointer Presenter In the back pocket I have two USB Thumb Drives and still have room for more. Everything stays in its place and is easy to get to. Long story short, if you like to be organized and find yourself with a bag full of cables and adapters, get the GRID-IT. It works, looks good and does not take up much space.

Great for organizing a purse
Okay. I was researching the "cube" system for travel. You know-putting your clothes into cubes so you pack more functionally. My husband and I have several sets of small electronic mesh cubes (Travelon and Sharper Image) for pocket cameras, cell phone chargers, ear buds, etc. I found an article on luggage buying tips and in it, the author referenced Cocoon's Grit-It system. So, I bought one CPG5BK (about 5" x 10") and 2 CPB10BK/CPG10BL (about 8" x 12"). I've been using the 5" x 10" one in my purse for about 2 months. What a novel idea! I don't carry large purses anymore, but this one fits in most of my sachels. I can attach my wallet, a notebook and pen, my credit card holder, chap stick, and keys. It's much easier to find things in my purse. We are going on a trip shortly and will be using the 8" x 12" ones in our carry-on bags so I'll review them later.

Sortiert super viele Kleinteile
Ein wirklich gutes und praktisches Tool. Ich nehme es auf viele Reisen mit und habe seitdem Kabel, Stecker und anderes Kleinzeug gut sortiert. Auch in meiner Schublade bleiben Kabel sortiert.

Exceeded my expectations.
I have been interested in buying one of these for a while now. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and it has proven itself to be a useful way to store and categories my electronic items. I use it mainly for keeping cable and cords in close proximity to my digital camera and iPod etc. I think if I had to buy a new one now, I would go for one of the ones with even more room as I can see myself getting carried away with trying to fit things into this one!
