It took around an hour to disassemble the guitar, harvest the old pot and then solder in the new one, not really work that I enjoy, I'd much rather be playing the guitar. Well it was certainly worth the effort, the new pot definitely lives up to its name, it's very smooth turning and yes it was $10 but that's a small price to pay to have your axe to be tuned for a little better performance. In this case it's a physical characteristic since the pot itself is just a variable resister, the action of the pot is very easy to turn, I love it. Tonewise it does not suck, sounds great, silent, no noise and easy to rotate, I put a Stratocaster knob on it because I'm very accustomed to that knob. Highly recommended if you need a better volume or tone control.
