I got his purifier from Amazon. I paid full price and it did not come in its original box. It came in a brown box and it had been used. Items were thrown in a mess and some items were missing. The machine was not working properly and I had to return it and I got a full credit. I went to a store and bought the same new in the original box. I gave it a 5 stars and it is working just great. I was very unhappy with Amazon sending me this awful used and broken machine. I realized that items from Amazon come from a third vendor but it was problematic for me because it was heavy. From now on when I buy big price items I will go directly to the source.

I was expecting just a humidifier, but I got so much more. In our household, both my wife and our pet are highly allergic—ironically, even to each other. We initially purchased this device to help us during the winter months primarily for its humidification benefits, as we already have air filters in the house. However, since we bought it, we’ve realized that it's much more than just an expensive humidifier. The electronics and app are exceptional. The device can read various air quality metrics and display them on the built-in LCD screen or provide real-time information through the app. While this feature is great, it’s only useful if it's accurate. In our experience, the Dyson is extremely precise. Even with our chef's hood running, the Dyson detects when we are cooking and when more pollutants have entered the air. The app reflects these changes within minutes, and the device automatically adjusts its operation to purify the air accordingly. Compared to our Alen air purifier, this machine surpasses it in performance! Be prepared for its size—it’s roughly the size of a skinny three-year-old child. We placed our Dyson on a rolling planter platform, which allows us to move it easily around the house. Despite its size, the machine is user-friendly and operates seamlessly. Since it is designed to run continuously, it is also important for it to be energy efficient. Based on our observations, the energy consumption seems reasonable for the benefits it provides. Ultimately, whether or not it is worth the investment is up to you. For us, the fact that it can measure air quality, actively purify the air, and then show its impact makes it far more valuable than other basic solutions that simply run without providing any feedback.

The first unit they sent broke twice in a 48-hour period. The first time the local Dyson repair shop could fix it in 15 minutes, but the second time I had to deal with a phone support guy who didn't listen and finally they asked me to send it in for replacement. The result of that is they had my money for three weeks while I had no unit. The new unit has worked continuously for a week, from which I gather the first was simply a lemon. The air quality is dramatically improved and I am sleeping better. This is well worth the price. Hopefully the bad unit and the bad support was just a fluke.

First off, you should know that this thing is big - very big. Much bigger than the other comparable devices I've seen and own from Dyson. This barely fits in the place we want it! That said, it's a great device. The humidification is very effective, much more so than our old app-less Dyson humidifier (which, in turn, was better than any humidifier we've ever had). The air quality detection, reporting, and purification appear to be just as good as with our excellent HP09 - which is to say easily up to our standards. We're a household of allergic asthmatics, so that says something. Worth the money even if you didn't get the 25% off that I did. Think about it: how much did you pay for your last phone? This is more important. Note that I haven't experienced the reliability issues reported in the reviews here. I likely have a unit from a more recent production run. So far so good. That said, read the manual if you have an error showing on the display. The device won't run if it isn't level (like if it's on uneven flooring).

This package came looking like it was pre-owned. Bags were already opened. The unit does not work and I cannot return it to amazon. It was so expensive and it doesn't work. It never worked. We called Dyson and they are going to "fix" a machine that never worked in the first place. Now we have to send it back and wait for them to try and fix it. This is very upsetting.

This product is very attractive, presumably does a good job of filtering the air and a medium job of humidifying. I don't think it really makes a big dent in the humidity, but it does a good job of reporting its progress. If you want a real humidifier I'd go for a model that has a bigger water tank. I hadn't used it for a while, and when I took it out recently I tried to clean off some of the scale at the bottom of the pump column by popping off the cap at the bottom. After cleaning it and turning it on, it worked for a day and then it stopped working, saying that I needed to push the water tank in, even though I had. I troubleshooted for a while before contacting dyson, and they wasted my time for a full hour before telling me to replace the pump column. Basically they told me to do very basic things to test it which I had already tried. The pump column is $130, which is much more than a normal humidifier, which is the main reason I want to use the device. It's not really worth it to replace, I might just sell the defunct unit on ebay for a discount price, letting people know that the pump column doesn't work. Bad purchase overall I'd say.

Amazing quality love Best thing we have ever purchased for the house we smoke cigarettes out in our garage so of course it gets a little smoky in here. We purchased this Dyson and it eliminates all the smoke order all the lingering smoke that sits in the air. it sucks in smoke literally if you take a hit off of your cigarette and blow it towards the machine the smoke literally takes it and makes it disappear. It is so cool. It is energy efficient the noise level sometimes it goes so quiet. You can’t even hear it, but that’s all based on your settings. If you have it on the lowest fan running, you can’t hear it. It definitely helps with allergies removing pollen from the air. The functionality of it is off the charts I would 100% recommend this product.
