Bumkins Silicone Chewtensils: Marble

These Bumkins utensils are super cute and my baby boy loves them (6mo the old) they are easy for him to hold and use and I do not have to worry about him shoving them down his throat due to the stoppers on them. They are easy to clean, haven’t had an issue at all! Good product.

We bought these for our son, and we absolutely love them. We have two sets of them already and these are the only things that he wants to use to feed himself.

Super cute

We started solids just before my baby turned 5 months. He was trying to grab the Munchkin spoons I had, but would shove them too far into his mouth. I decided to try these and at his first meal with them he already feeds himself if I preload it, albeit somewhat messy. He can easily grab the handle and navigate it to his mouth and is able to get most of the food off of the shallow spoon. He also chews on it in between mouthfuls. This was exactly what I wanted for him!

These utensils are great for tiny hands. My 6 month old was able to easily hold them and by the second time we did solids she was bringing it up to her mouth. We have some Munchkin and IKEA spoons and those are good for feeding her but not for self feeding - too long. The only issue I have with these is that they stain so easily! Second time we used them we did pumpkin and it was stained orangey yellow. I'm sure it will do the same for things like pasta sausaucsauce. I was able to fix the spoon by first washing thoroughly and then making paste of oxy clean and a little water. Brush this paste on utensils and then let it sit for several hours and then use a dish brush on them (I did about 4-5 hours and the stain is 90% gone, doing another round to see if I can remove it). Obviously I don't want to have to do this often so if the stain will bother you I reccomend picking a different colour or only using the marble set for safe foods like cereals and most fruit, etc.
