Don't make the same mistake as me. Took me 5 hours to realize that this wasn't compatible with my 5 ghz wifi. Instead I have it configured to connect to my phone hotspot by using the smart app on another phone which is also connected to my phone hotspot. Now it works flawlessly. Bulbs are brighter than my old ones (may not be the case for everyone). They easily connect to your phone once you set it up. The app is filled with features such as auto turning on your lights based on time/location, grouping/syncing lights, RGB, auto turn off lights, and connecting with other smart home devices such as alexa or google. Before buying, make sure that your socket is E14, meaning 14mm diameter socket. If you have bad wifi in the room you are installing these bulbs in, you can use my method of connecting it by phone hotspot. In my case the two bulbs barely use any data, around 10 kilobytes. I can also just have my wifi on while the hotspot is on. In any other case, you can just turn off the hotspot and on again only when you need to reconfigure the lights. This model does NOT have bluetooth, even if the app says connecting via bluetooth.

I have no idea how to get it working. It doesn't connect and I am unable to make use of the bulb. Does it require some special adapter/plug? I've followed the instructions but the bulb doesn't flash and the app shows the state as "Unconnected".

Bought a total of 16 of these bulbs and connected them to the Tuya app as recommended; kept facing issues with some bulbs randomly disconnecting after a few days. Some of the bulbs disconnected are placed less than 3meters away from the router but decided to buy a new router anyway hoping to resolve the issue. Even with the new router and setting up a separate network for the bulbs, i'm still struggling with the disconnections and finally ended up using these as normal lights. The Tuya app has alot of options with temperature, scenes and colors but its not useable when some of the bulbs are offline. The lights are also cheap and the lighting is solid (when they are not disconnected) but considering the above issue i wouldn't recommend this brand for anyone considering smart bulbs.

Seems like an amazing product, but i followed the steps as instructed but my family members need to reset each device!! Not sure how to add my family to control the lights I set up

Connects brilliantly with Alexa. It’s for lazy people like me, just say “alexa, turn on all of the lights!” And they are on! Amazing. These lights have lots of tricks such as blinking along with music, changing colors, and following commands.
