This unit works well and has just the features I was looking for: * speed * compass * automatic dimming * altitude Pros: * easy-to-read 1" numeric speed display * uses USB (5V) power rather than 12V as some other units * compass is graphic and easy to read with all 8 directions * optional displays are each selectable: compass, speed "gauge" bar, number of satellites, blue numeric display * automatic dimming at night Cons: * speed "gauge" bar is not really useful This unit is small enough that it can just rest on the dash. I needed a GPS speedometer because the instruments in my VW EuroVan are very hard to read in bright sunlight.

Update: Compass works well, need to get it out and moving. Don't judge it by moving it around in your living room. Five stars. _________ It just arrived, I got this for the altimeter and compass, don't really need another speedometer. Altimeter seems ok, compass points N no matter what way the box is orientated. I'm hoping once I get this driving around the compass will come to life. I'll reedit this once I know for sure.

I put this in my 83 VW rabbit that the speedometer doesn't work in. The mount broke when I was trying to pull it off but I don't need it because I can slip it down onto a screw head. The 0-60 thing is kinda neat. As far as I could tell with using it in other rigs it is accurate. It does take a bit of time for it to find satellite signal after it starts up. Works great for what I need it for.

I bought this for my son; he loves it. It's very good and necessary.

This is junk. Looks cool but does not track the correct mileage at all. Tested it with a car with good Speedo and 4 phones with GPS the phones and car matched Everytime this was a consistent 6 to 14 mph off

White speed indicator hard to see in bright daylight otherwise unit functions great. Blue LEDs easy to see. Red function indicators easy to see also. I like the milage and time elapsed functions. Great for taxi fare calculating

Had looked for an accurate magnetic compass for a vehicle for awhile, and all of them came up short. Forget installing a magnetic compass for an auto (too much metal to be accurate). THIS compass is THE ONE -- at a very affordable price! CONS: Awful instructions in extremely tiny print PROS: Everything about it is great -- once you tough your way thru setup. --Bright, large display is easy to read --Ability to configure information YOU want on the display --Accuracy with time, speedometer, compass and altitude (able to calibrate). Readings are based on multiple satellites and the info is rock solid.

I needed a bright display for our 2005 Jayco Class C motorhome. The dash is deep, and with the bunk overhang (over the driving compartment) it made the dash hard to see during the day. This unit starts up right away and gives me speed and time with some other handy info like compass direction and height above sea level. Lots of settings to tweak that allow you to set it up the way you like. Great value for the money
