Lots of nuances, not true black.
The HP5 is an interesting film for dark to light grey shades. From all my tests so far (and I'm not an expert in film), it doesn't render black as black but as a very dark grey or desaturated black. If you shoot to show a lot of nuances, that's a good product. It is also definitely a bit grainy in low light at 400 ISO. I think for very heavy contrast, I'd be better off with the Ilford Delta Pro 400. I like the result I got so far with the HP5 120 though. Shooting with a Bronica S2A.

Great images
As expected I have been using this film for many years.

A great, inexpensive option for experimenting with photography
I wanted some inexpensive film to try out an old box camera that I found in our attic, and this turned out to be great. It is basic black and white and it performed perfectly. It is inexpensive enough to experiment with and use as a leaning tool. I would definitely buy this again.

Wonderful Film
Not pricey. Been around for years. A go to for B&W film in 120 and 35mm.

Slightly misleading
Slightly misleading advertising, as it can hold *up to* 12 exposures. With the camera I am using (an antique brownie camera), it has space for only 8. Does have the correct markings for the matching window, however. I will be getting one of the rolls developed today, and will update my review once I have them.
