Effective and sturdy, but beware blisters from heavy use
Hatchet worked well at dispatching two oleander that had overgrown into trees. Even the hand and pole saws failed. Would have needed a full chainsaw to do better.The edge remains completely undamaged and in good shape afterwards, ready for it's next job.The main con is that the grip could be a little more comfortable. A blister did form from its use even with a work glove on.Worked well on smaller logs to be split down into fire wood, too.

The right tool for camping
Bought this a long time ago - still have it and I always take it camping. Very good quality - this is the best camping hatchet I ever had with no intention of replacing it anytime soon. I think I had it for 2 years now... It's small and heavy enough to happily split wood. Other hatchets and heavier or softer. This is just right.

Bang for buck, can't be beat
This is an easy to justify SHTF / bug-out / survival hatchet. It's not likely to win any awards from world class backpacking reviewers, but as far as tossing something in your pack that comes with a decent edge, keeps a decent edge, and is easy to maintain a decent edge, all while still being reasonably balanced between "heavy enough to chip/chop" and "light enough to swing repeatedly without getting tired". Easy to use, performance grade, perfect size and just fit your hand very comfortable. Quality are top notch.
