My wife got this for me. I wanted a rash guard for our snorkeling trips. I'm 6 feet and 180 pounds and generally most comfortable in a Medium shirt. I understand that these tops are designed to be skin tight so I tried a Large first. It was just too tight for me, especially in the shoulders/armpits. The XL fits just how I want. More freedom in the shoulder, snug but not tight in the torso and chest. The length in the sleeves and at the waist is good - long enough to cover when arms are stretched out and up. For 20 bucks this is a very well-made item. Love the design and color (I got the yellow one with the fish on the arm). Should be easy for boats to see me. Looks and feels great! Can't wait to get in the water.

Sizing is really tough for rashguards, in part because people use them for different things. The normal fit is fairly tight, which is great if you're swimming and don't want the extra drag that ballooning fabric would create. But if you're just looking for something to protect from the sun, then that fit can be kinda snug (especially if you have a normal body, rather than a model's physique), and you might want to go a size bigger than usual. I got this to protect me from UV while swimming laps outside. And for that, I found the fit was perfect (I'm 5'11", 182lb, rockin' the dadbod but trying to stay fit; generally take L in shirts, but sometimes size M depending on the cut). I got size L (yellow - who wants to wear black in the sun!), and found it was a great fit: the arms are nice and snug (and long), the torso is snug but not constricting. The material feels solid yet stretchy (a lot of them are very thin and elastic). All in all, I didn't really think about it while in the pool, which was exactly what I'm looking for.

I am 180, 5'11. I ordered a medium which feels pretty tight, especially in the shoulder/armpit area. I like the snug fit but might try large next. I hope to see new designs in the future.
