OEM New Ford E-150, E-250 Rear Door Handle, License Plate Housing

This product is an original equipment (Ford) replacement right rear door handle assembly for my 2000 E-150 van. The item came within a couple days of ordering it. It's very easy to install. Just remove the license plate and then on the rear of the assembly attached to the door, remove the 4 Torx #20 screws, tilt the assembly out from the top and pop out the license plate light, remove the cable from the handle and remove the wire from the lock. Pull out the clip that secures the lock and the assembly is free now.To install the new part, just do everything in reverse. It works flawlessly!

Fitment was fine and it does the job. The only thing about it that I don't like is that the handle itself seems to be shaped SLIGHTLY different than the original one that came on the van. The original handle has more of a "lip" on the back edge where your fingers go. So, when you grab the handle and pull on it to open the door, your fingers slip off as the handle pivots towards you, which snaps the handle back to its original position. The door still unlatches, it just makes me wonder how much of this that the handle will be able to tolerate over time before it breaks.It's a shame this was designed that you have to replace this ENTIRE license plate holder just because the handle broke, but it is what it is.

Looked good and fit well. The handle bends so easily every time you pull it, so badly that I'm afraid to use. Dissapointed

it looks good and works well so far, however in the original door handle (that got broken after 10 years) some parts were metal. in the new one they are all plastic and it is hard to expect it would work for the next 10 years. we will see.

fits correctly but all moving parts are cheaply made plastic. original equipment was metal.

OEM factory products cheaper on amazon then the dealer. My rear van door is like opening a brand new door. I didnt realize the back door handles wear out. But I realize how much this van door was opened before i bought the van
