My 2005 Jetta failed the inspection and my mechanic said (after clearing the engine light) that I should drive the car for 20 min highway and 20 local. We've tried that the whole day but out of three lights on his device only 1 went away. Next day the light engine came back. After not being happy with the explanation offered by him (a family friend) that I should keep driving it until we get lucky I went online and found CRC 05063. Followed the instruction (one bottle on full tank of gas). Before my tank was under 3/4, engine light went off!! At half tank I went and did the inspection - IT PASSED! I am really impressed! Went online and this is the first time I heard about driving cycles. These are steps that you have to follow so that your car's computer can start measuring all the parameters needed for the test. Driving cycles are not exact science but I tried to follow the instructions as much as I could and after just 20 minutes (10min city and 10min highway) ALL the parameters were set and I passed the emission test with flying colors! So, just before you give a comment about CRC like "tried and didn't work" be aware that there are other things you have to take into account.

Oh, what a LET DOWN, took the emission test this morning and FAILED,!!!! I followed the directions. Also ,I have used it in the past and was successful. Did you change the formula? Bought CRC 05063 after I tried "Cataclean Engine and Catalytic Converter Treatment- 16.7 oz" and here is my experience. Car: Toyota Camry LE V4 2005 with P040 / Catalytic Converter low CEL located near LA, CA. Cataclean: Ran car for 1 week/100 miles of office and two long trips 150 miles where my CEL stayed off. To my bad luck I couldn't get my car to smog by this time. I reset CEL after 1 week of use. and so for next 150 miles it didnt come back. CRC 05063: Bought this one seeing more reviews and higher ratings that Cataclean and price is lower. Reset the CEL after 2 days/20 miles came back in 10 miles. Reset in next 20 miles came back in 30 miles and from there it was like If i use car in office trip(local road 4 miles one way) CEL come back in every 8-12 miles. If I take car on highway it will stay off. So I took me car for a 30 mile drive and directly went to smog and it passed. It was risky and I was lucky to pass smog. Verdict: May be 'CRC 05063' is not good for my car. Next time I will go for Cataclean.

Used it as directed. Also used 2 tank fulls of high test, instead of regular, as they recommended. It worked for awhile. Maybe 5-6 weeks before the light came back on. It was long enough to pass inspection. Now I have another year to get it fixed. Worth the bucks. Wish manufacturers would make catalytics to be able to open up and scrub the platinum! Follow up- July 2013 - Times up, I have to fix cat for 1500 clams. Wait, maybe I can try another bottle of GNTF again this year. I put another bottle in, and two tanks of high test. So about 6 days after the stuff was poured in, I reset the light with my OBD meter. This time I go for the inspection about a day or two later and whammo, it passes. I get on the road and about a half hour later the light comes back on. I just got through by the skin of my teeth. But, it worked! That's two years I put off a $1500 fix. I guess I'll rate it a fiver since it's worked twice already. Next year, if it works, I'll run to the service station about 50 miles after I reset the light. F grade for toyota for making the front cat part of the exhaust manifold. Be a damn site cheaper if it was separate.

Used it as directed. Down to an eighth of a tank. Poured it in and added enough gas to get back to one half a tank. Wanted to get it mixed in really well. Immediately jumped on the interstate and ran 75 MPH for 40 miles. Stopped and filled the tank and when I restarted the engine, the light was off. Coincidence? Not a chance. Light had been on continuously for weeks. AutoZone said I needed a catalytic converter. Nope. One thing I found out the hard way. If your gas filler has a flap at the top, make sure it is easy to push aside. Mine had a little release button near the top that the filler hose would depress before the flap would release. Dumped the first bottle right on the ground. Twelve bucks wasted. No one to blame but me, I guess. Still a bargain, even at twice the price.

I added this to my fuel and it shut off the engine icon on the dashboard for a few days. The light has since came back on so I may need another treatment. Time will tell.

The engine check light disappeared for two days and came back. Before every time I reset the error code the engine check light would not come back before few days, but after using this product the it would come back next drive.

A fruend called me anout her MIL/Enginel light coming on. P0 420 came on i think. O2 sensor bank 1. Exhaust had good pressure so catalytiv wasnt plugged up. So bought some of this and her light went out i assume bevause she said its ok (shes vietnamese with not the best English) and hasnt mentioned it in last 3 weeks. I bought a few more to give her some for next time when needed and for my 09 small truck.
