> Really solid crimper for the price. Makes clean, tight crimps on larger lugs without a ton of effort. The hydraulic action works smoothly and gives consistent results, which is a big step up from hand crimpers. Dies fit well and are easy to swap out. Great tool, works well so far crimping 8awg up to 2/0 awg. Makes a nice solid crimp and cold welds lugs to the wire. On the bigger gauges I did 2 crimps side by side as the dies are not very wide. I chose this version vs the bigger ones so I could get into tighter areas. Has been great for my RV wiring project.

After researching I chose these. I’m very happy I did. Having to crimp like I’m using bolt cutters just didn’t seem enjoyable or even practical when you wanted and needed to hold/adjust the wire in your terminals. These work awesome, are able to literally be used one handed and make awesome crimps. Others have said dyes aren’t true to size, but they worked great on my 1/0 GP NO BS power wire. I used the 1/0 ones and they made perfect non eared crimps that I couldn’t pull off even after holding them in my vice and pulling as hard as I could with a screwdriver thru the terminal itself. Highly recommended!

This worked great, it was very easy to use and made the process go by very quickly. The railing looks great and has held up well.

Like others say the die sizes are a bit off from standard, had to use smaller dies for most the gauges I'm working with and to get a nice uniform shape on some I had to rotate the terminal and double crimp. After figuring that out I was able to get things crimped nice and strong! Much better than the top screw style terminals I was using before. The build quality is great and it its pretty darn heavy! Well worth the price for the occasional crimp and a good tool to have in your collection.

Crimped about 60 threaded cable swedges. They have held for a couple of years without issues. My grandson will occasionally step on the cables too. So that’s been tested.

I bought this for my husband and he is very please with the purchase. High quality and durability. The size is good for his use and is very versatile.

This review is for the green UTZIKO 10 US TON Hydraulic Cable Lug Crimping tool. Date, 7/2023. Okay, I'm old and have been working with hand tools since the age of 5. So, I'd like to think that I know a good tool when I see one. First impression of this tool is wow, this is built like a tank. The tool does have a quality look, and feel. Especially for the price point that it sells at. (this one was under $40 us) I looked, and read what seemed like an endless amount of reviews for this, and the other popular type of tools like this. Most of these tools seem like they are the same tool with a different name attached. Pretty sure that for the most part...they are the same. This model had one option that was only found on a much more expensive model and, having that option was why I picked this tool over the countless others like it. The option? A return spring on the plunger that returned the handle to the top of its stroke. I gambled that this tool was actually the more expensive model being sold under a different brand. Back to these tools being pretty much the same. I do believe that this tool should give many years of service if, it isn't abused, always has clean oil, and is only used for home use. No... this is not a professional grade tool! If you're a pro, spend the money and buy a professional grade tool! Don't be one of those morons that buy a tool for home use and then write a bad review when the tool fails in a year because it was used on the job everyday! I was impressed with the quality of this crimper, and I am not one that is impressed easily. If a product is junk, I have no problem saying so, and often do. The darker green model was the only model that I saw with a return spring on the plunger. Good luck.

After buying a cheap crimper and getting frustrated with bad crimps, I thought I'd try this one. Now my crimps are perfect and solid. Easy to operate one handed by slowly closing on the lug.

Works well for personal use. I’ve only crimped a few wires for my audio system and it did a good job. We’ll see how long it holds up for. Comes with extra o-rings so I’m assuming it’ll start leaking soon enough.
