Our kitchen island lights have been broken for a while and I’ve been looking to replace them for ages. An electrician put the old ones in so I was a little wary. And reading some of the reviews, I was worried about the stickiness. But I need not worry. Easy to install then myself. We went for the 2x5m so I string of lights could go down each side of the island. The 3M stick tape was superb. I cut off what wasn’t needed. Really pleased with the result. They are quite bright during the day but really stand out at night. And then strobe to music, which the kids loved. Next party they will be on and bouncing away. Very effective. Cheap. Easy to install. Just buy them for your project.

I've had 4 sets of LEDs now from 3 different companies and every single one of them broke in a few months. I now wanted to buy some from a more reputable brand because putting up new LEDs every few months is a lot of effort, and terrible for the environment. I have had a TP-link extender for 6 years now and it's still working, which gives me an idea for the quality of their products. Putting up the LEDs was simple like any others. The colour diffusion is great and well balanced, and there are no dead LED spots. The app UI is well made and easy to navigate, and setup was as simple as 3,2,1. Connectivity is fast, and works with WiFi and Bluetooth. It doesn't come with a remote control however and does require a phone or tablet. However, I do not find this a problem as I always found remotes to be dodgy and I always end up losing them. The LEDs connect to my Amazon Alexa which works seamlessly, and I use it on a daily basis. The price may seem a little high for some, but these are from a reputable brand and are more likely to last longer than other brands. Saving you time & money in the long run.

I’ve put these behind 4mm deep clear acrylic under a kitchen worktop and they look excellent. They link with Alexa and stick well. Alexa function includes changing colour, brightness and timing on/off but does not include any of the colour changing or sync to music functionality which is done from the phone app. I have two 5m strips and they all light up very well (I also have tried Govee light strips which always seem to have a few LEDs missing one of the primary colours so will definitely stick to Tapo as better quality).

I waited and waited to buy some smart lighting for the house because it felt like a bit of a minefield. In reality, these are SUPER simple to set up. Just download the corresponding app, connect the lights and follow the instructions (a series of connecting to Wifi and updating). I wanted lights that would integrate with my existing Google Home set-up and these are completely supported. Any of my Google smart speakers can change the light settings and the Home app itself has full control (once you login once with your Tapo credentials). Plenty bright enough and can be basically any colour and brightness you choose. I will definitely be buying more for a similar feel but in the kitchen and elsewhere. I was also conscious that I didn't want to see the individual LED's on the wall - as you can see from the images it gives off a nice diffused glow. I only scored 4* for the adhesion as although it is super sticky, some parts of the strip is less so, but it's not gone anywhere as the rest of the strip is holding on! It's also a little tricky to create a bend without feeling like you may damage the strip - all good so far (I have two bends on the strip that is underneath the desk) but it has left a "rise" in the cable.

Despite the app being fairly basic, although it does update as more features are added, these lights do the job well. I've got them around my bed and controlled by Alexa which was a breeze to set up. My only bugbear is you have to use the app on your phone to change the colour but it's not a deal breaker. If you can find these on offer they really are a good buy and if you need a brand name then TP-link have been around for years and are constantly innovating. The cheaper brands can disappear overnight leaving you with a useless phone app as I discovered to my cost a couple of years ago, spend a little more for peace of mind would be my advice!!

I wasn’t sure what to make of a non Hue branded product but this products fits the bill. It is very easy to install and fixes to the surface area really easy. The light strip is surprisingly versatile and can bend easily around walls and other surfaces. The strips can be cut and easily extended for wherever you need to place it. The app side of the product is also very easy to use and set up. I also linked the app and light to the Amazon Alexa very easily. We have put this in my sons bedroom where the ceiling meets the wall. A really good reading light and also looks very cool, especially with all the colour options. Highly recommended.

Really impressed with these, good level of brightness, so much better than cheap copy's. Connect well with other Tapo devices or the app to schedule times etc.

Really impressed by these. Every part was better than the cheap Chinese lights you’ll get elsewhere. For a few extra pounds you will thank yourself. They are bright - the light density is higher (more lights per metre). The cable length from the plug is long enough to reach the ceiling from a ground socket. There’s a push button to turn on/off. And the best part is the connectivity and app. TP-Link make top quality networking products that just work and this one of them.

Fantastic led lights, can be cut and joined

This LED strip is so great it can light up your whole room! It functions great and the remote control has some features if your phone is not there to function it for example- press one time to turn it off and on and press it 2 times to change the color, and the colors come great in this strip, and it is very durable, it can survive light rains but not heavy ones. the length is 5 meters and it is cuttable and finally it is very easy to use. So it fits my requirements.

Excellent product

I have been using this product for quite some time now. I am very happy with the maker of this product. It delivers exactly what it promises. Only, the Music sync never seems to work but remaining functionalities are great to explore and use.

This was the first light strip I've ever bought and it was easy to install, It's easy to change the modes and colours using the tapo app, there was no remote but it can be connected to google home and samsung Smart things, since i use a samsung ecosystem it's easy for me to change these using my pc and watch, the glue was strong enough, if u want to get smart strip lights these are the one u go for if u have a low budget, btw when u get the 10 meter lights it comes 2x 5m strip lights it doesn't come with connectors since u can connect 2 of em from the adapter itself if u are unable to start from the same place twice u should get connectors so u can continue after the 5 meters end
