I was blown away by how much better this soap/cleaner is than facial/hand/dish soap which I have reluctantly used in the past as a substitute. It's also much better than the liquid version I have used by this brand before. The main downside is that it is messy, and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to store it between uses. I could use the case, but I prefer not to until the soap is dry. The other slight downside is that the case is not great to use for the sponge if your sponge is still damp since it doesn't breathe as well as other mesh-like ones do. Still, it will keep it protected if you need to throw it in a travel bag/purse and you can always use the cleaner to freshen up the sponge, which is kind of the whole point of this set anyway.
