These rulers although not very thick, are sharp and easily cut through average weight paper. I don’t think this would work well on card stock. Be advised that because these have sharp edges they need to be handled with care. They have a convenient hole to make hanging them up easy instead of placing in a drawer or storage container. I have not yet tried the watercolor pens as I did not purchase this product for them.

I thought they were a bit flimsy and wished they were twice the thickness. However they do tear well without the use of the water pens as long as you take your time and not in a rush.

Lightweight, when tearing the paper across it, I needed to make sure I was pressing down hard, so the ruler would not slip. The reason I purchased this is that my grandson is a baseball player and he likes motivational sayings. So I came upon an idea to paint a large canvas And then print the motivational sayings on paper. I did not want them to look the same so I decided to tear the edges to give them a little bit more of a rugged look. He absolutely love the outcome and he said what was the neatest thing is since we Pushpin them and put earring backings on the back of the pushpin, he could change out when he found additional or wanted to change the motivational sayings.

The items are wonderful. They are sturdy and are great for crafting. Love the different edges and measurements on each one. Would definitely buy them again.

I think I can make them work for my purposes but they are very thin and very flimsy. They will be difficult to work with as they are. I plan to use them for making grunge style art tags to give edges a sort of organized look to them, so I am not overly worried about how the tear will ultimately look. But it would have been better if these were more substantial to be able to actually do a tear opposed to fighting with it while tearing the paper. Anyway, I imagine I will be able to make it work but I think I will regret it each time I attempt it. I read the reviews and many others have stated pretty much the same thing. I decided to make the buy because I figured I can make it work, and I still think I can. With the price that is not too too bad I think it is doable. Oh, btw- another reviewer has said how she plans to amend these and her review helped me to decide to go with them. Thank you Art Lady! In the end, be aware they are just a bit thicker than foil wrap and not much more rigid than that. So now you can make up your mind do you want to deal with it. Good luck!

The rulers are thin and long, found them a bit hard to work with and store as they are extremely sharp. I found it hard to get a continuous edge as I have to move my opposite hand down the thin lightweight ruler to keep it in place. I do not recommend.

These rulers are great, with a good range of tearing styles. If I had my choice, I would have them slightly more robust. They do the job really well, in spite of that. The little water pens were a great bonus.
