Chrome Gold Front Housing Shell Faceplate for Xbox One S & Xbox One X Controller (Model 1708) - Controller NOT Included

Pros: - 5 stars for everything about this face plate. - Color is amazing, and doesn't look like just a surface paint job. - It is so silky smooth to the touch (note, it's still hard ABS plastic, so "soft" isn't really the adjective for this.) But, while you can easily glide across the surface, when you actually hold it as if to play, there is definitely a grip to it. - It's a LOT cheaper than buying a new controller, especially if yours works fine. - The purple/blue chameleon also perfectly matches the "PowerA Fusion Wired Stereo Gaming Headset with Mic" of the Cosmos Nebula color. Cons: - If you have never tried to remove the faceplate on your factory controller, WATCH THE VIDEOS - not just the first one that pops up in the youtube search mentioned in the listing, but also the next one where the gentleman swaps his factory plate for a woodgrained one (that video was more helpful). Removing the side grips from your old one will be the hardest part of the process. No reason to ding stars from this product because my factory controller was built to not come apart easily, but it was a pain. - Now, once you get to the point of having your old face plate off - the installation of the new one is a breeze. DO pay attention that you get it lined up right before screwing it on (if the edges aren't lined up perfectly, it will feel like it doesn't fit). You should also note that the screws will feel tight as you reassemble due to the new plate never having screws in it. Side notes: - Yes, it is a face plate, not a skin, not a snap over style cover, it is a replacement face plate that requires you to manhandle and disassemble your controller. Doing so is obviously at your own risk, and if you're a kid, you should probably ask your grown up. - It is also NOT a whole controller. It very very clearly says this. (Seriously, there is a bad review because someone trusted a 12 year old who claimed they found a cheap controller, and now the parent is mad that it was just the face plate, so they left a bad review... That is not how reviews work.)

Was easy to install, looks really good with either the white or black backing. Wish it came eith a backing for it to match.

The product fits perfectly on the remote. I love the color of it and it’s smooth to the touch. It’s everything I wanted! Although taking it apart was a struggle, I did manage though. I ended up breaking a little clip on the back on the side panels so now it’s a little lose but it holds. If you’re okay with possible breaking your controller, then go for it! I honestly don’t regret it, it looks great!

I was kinda nervous reading some of the reviews on here but decided to give it a go. I had no idea these were face plates that you had to install and thought they were just a skin that goes over it. however my brother helped me install it and it wasn’t too hard and the front of my controller looks really nice with the blue. I just hope it doesn’t break easy because I drop my controller a lot. I would recommend this product overall

Does not fit Xbox one controller, product description is a lie

Son wanted a gold Xbox controller for his birthday. I couldn’t find a controller he liked. He loved this gold color. It was easy to install. Looks great and made him happy. Only downside is fingerprints on controller are evident from second you hold it, but gold and metallic colors are like that. No big deal. Great product.

It's got a nice and smooth finish which I love. It looks absolutely gorgeous in all of the lighting. After following YouTube tutorials, I definitely had a fairly easy time installing it. The most intimidating part of the installation is taking off the side pieces on your controller to get to the screws. Now that it's on there, it feels really great in my hands and definitely looks beautiful.

I got this as a test of the finish and material before I went all out and got replacement shells for my Switch. It was an easy swap out, just pry off the grips remove a few screws to take the front off and reverse with the new front. The material feels really hefty. It has an... odd.. texture. Somewhere between glass and snake skin. It has grip to it, but it's a slightly tacky grip. So far I don't mind it, but it doesn't feel like any other controller I've had. The finish is gorgeous. An excellent pearlescent finish. It's green when face on and purple when off angle. Honestly I wish it was the opposite, but I still love it. So will I go all out for my Switch? Maybe. I play more docked than handheld, so it wouldn't be something I'd hold regularly. That means I'll likely be okay with the texture. My stock back cover can't hold the kickstand anymore and I have one spare joycon that has a broken analog stick. That means I'll likely replace all of it and once and opt to do the shell. We'll see. I use my Xbox One controller only for PC gaming and it's not my main driver so I won't be daily interacting with the shell. That said, it's looks will keep it on my desk.

Quando lo monto i tasti del controller non funzionano bene. I fori non coincidono perfettamente con i comandi che si incastrano

Tiene muy buena calidad de plástico y la pintura ni se diga, se ve padrísimo, sin duda volvería comprar otro tono más a delante. Su instalación es muy fácil y viene incluido el desarmador necesario no necesitas nada más.
