1st ingredient is chicken,makes a great cup of broth.

This chicken paste is good quality, far better than any store-brand chicken paste (they are mostly just salt). Adding a teaspoon of it to almost any cookable vegetable dish or soup before preparing it with heat greatly enhances the flavor, and supplies just enough saltiness to avoid the need for adding any more salt, without be too salty either. My only concern was the horrendous amount of packing needed to avoid breakage in transit: so much plastic that I will buy in the store next time instead of ordering it on-line.

The America's Test Kitchen test of chicken broths rated this very highly, explaining also that most of the boxed broths are made by that company buying a paste like this and mixing it with water. It's so convenient and comparatively sustainable to have a jar of this in the fridge (and a backup in the pantry!) to mix as-needed, to whatever strength needed, rather than going through tons of boxes or cans. Flavor is excellent, and I love being able to get the organic in a big jar. Shipped perfectly, definitely will repeat.

It's all in the title! Excellent broth for drinking, soup base or adding to other dishes like stir fries. My go to broth from now on!

This item the glass jar was broken and l cannot use it as it has bits of glass in it.
