Pentek PD-5-20 Whole House Water Filter Cartridge
We use this product in our recently installed whole house water filter. It seems to function adequately, is easy to install, and relatively inexpensive. The shipping was great, and packaging was easy to remove and dispose of.

the title say "PENTEK-PD-50-20 Sediment Water Filters - 1 Case-20 Filters - 50 Micron" which suggests a case of 20 filters. I received 1 single filter.

Skip unless you need this specific 2 5/16 diam. filter
Filter is a 20" long by 2 5/16" OD in diameter. The plastic tube running through the center of it is 1 1/16" in diameter. It fits a standard 20"x 2ยฝ" filter housing. The filter has a standard plastic tube running through the center to act as the filtered or supply water outlet. Surrounding this channel is the media mesh itself. The mesh will typically deform/crush when you insert it into the filter housing, don't worry this deformation just ensures the filter ends have a seal against the housing to provide optimum performance. Save your money and buy a standard 20" x 2ยฝ OD filter. Buying this filter you will not only spend more, but also have less available filter area for your water treatment needs.
