I could tell after the first wash that it hydrated my hair very well. Made my hair feel soft. My only complaint is that it’s not a sudsy type of shampoo so I feel like I need a lot to clean all of my hair. It’s pretty pricey but I’d buy again.

If you have very dry 3C–4A kinky or coily hair, you absolutely need this! I have never used a shampoo that leaves my hair feeling this moisturized. It makes such a huge difference for dry hair and keeps it feeling soft and hydrated. This is definitely a must have, especially if your hair needs extra moisture.

I have naturally curly hair and have been working on hitting the right balance of moisture to help it do its thing. My stylist told me I probably needed Amika Normcore. I should have listened to her! Instead I did the quiz on the Amika site that said I could do either, and I figured more hydration couldn't hurt. Well, it doesn't work with my hair. It is definitely hydrating, and it makes my curls curly, but it also makes my hair look and feel like I didn't wash it, right after I wash it. It's like I can't get my fingers through it by my scalp, because it's just so dense and almost sticky/oily feeling. I think that using it consistently is just too much moisture for my hair. I'm going to scale it back and use it just now and then, and will probably buy the Normcore to use most of the time. I got the Hydro Rush conditioner too, and I do think it's a great conditioner, and will continue to use it as a deep conditioner now and then.

My hairdresser uses this shampoo at the salon each time I go. I like the way this one hydrates my hair. I purchased the matching conditioner and really recommend it.

i’m using this in conjunction with other amika Hydro Rush products (except for the mask, which i’ll try when i’m out of my other hair masks) and i’m having a great experience. i’ve tried Olaplex, Kérastase (Gloss Absolu) and Redken (All Soft), and these products have blown them out of the water for my very thick, 1C, dry-leaning hair. my only complaint is that the bottle can be very difficult to squeeze out product. for this reason, when i run out, i’ll probably switch to using the amika refillable pump bottles with the refills of the shampoo and conditioner. too bad, because i love the aesthetic of these bottles.

I have thick and slightly greying hair that seems kind of dry to me so i got this shampoo to see if it would help. The next day it seems to make my hair oily or a little greasy. So it's for my hair type. Back in the mid 1980s Redkin had a line, shampoo 1. Conditioner 2. which i loved but it seems nothing lasts forever.

Perfect moisturizing shampoo

The entire HYDRO RUSH series are irreplaceable. Highly recommended for bleached, dry or textured hair. The overnight mask is a must. The shampoo contains no silicones, it gives a genuine feel of hydrated hair and is medium strength meaning it doesn’t strip your hair but does remove silicones and mineral build up.

Really lovely product and has helped my hair

Used with the Amika conditioner and I could see results after just one use. My hair is extremely thick and it did not make my hair greasy at all but did add a healthy looking shine. Smells amazing. I would buy again
