Can i connect 2 video sources to it, say one to the hdmi and the other one to a usb port, and switch the display between the 2 sources?

Yes, though a quirk on mine is that I have to initially switch the HDMI inout on 1st then the USB-C. After that I can swap whenever I wish. Seems to be the initial connection only as after the HDMI input 'goes to sleep', as-it-were, it'll still come back after 'waking up'. I regularly have desktop via HDMI, 1 USB socket for power and the other connected to one of my laptops
